I'm unfamiliar with this term - Hoarding

My bro is attacking. he has 14 monks. Spell-wise, I have the earth tome. with reduced power from his torso piece, I implode 4 angels. I can rez all 7 devils. I can summon 44 earth elementals. I have +1 speed. Also I have spirit of oppression, giving us both -1 morale (3 different factions). I have expert tactics (I will nudge my 1 stack efreet 1 space forward). ASSUMING he has only lvl 1 basic spells - Who do you put your $ on. Please let it be me.

The main idea is to debuff the hero on pickup and at the beginning of the next day give that hero a bonus.

I am aware of the "Variables" thing and how I can put event objects around the PB and just let the hero walk on it the next day. But I want to prevent cheesing the encounter with meta-gaming and/or teleporting out of the "reward zone" - DD and Fly are banned but ppl/AI can still use TP.

Ideally all would be made with Hero Events since the buff I want to give is stat-specific - as shown on the 2nd pic. Unless I can somehow assign the hero who picked up the PB to the event that will be stepped on the next day.

No, I can't assign a specific hero to the event since this is just a normal scenario where you can pick any color/faction you like and play it normally. All of this is just flavor and hints of story.

This is still work in progress, but I seem to be able to run simulations of the basic AI which lets me have two armies duke it out using basic attacks. I have two marimo notebooks, one that can trigger battles and another that can replay them. I can mix/match login using Python.

This is going to generate a fun dataset and I'll likely also make a video about it but figured I'd ping here to see if there are specific simulations that people thing I should run.

One thing that's tempting to do is to figure out what town is best. So you could buy three weeks worth of units from each town to see what might happen. The AI values can be all over the place, just like the amount of gold that you might spend, so I'm not sure if it's an entirely fair comparison. It's also been a while since I really played the game, so I figured asking here because people might have fun insights for me to check.

I intend to share the simulation datasets as well as a step-by-step guide on how to set this up yourself. The setup does require a HOMM3 from GOG so I feel uneasy about sharing the whole setup in a Docker container.

Hi everyone, I really need some help with an issue I'm having with Third Upgrades Mod (TUM).

Since the latest Heroes Launcher update on August 15th, I haven't been able to create a Random Map with TUM enabled. Heroes Launcher crashes 100% of the time during Random Map generation.

What's strange is that the previous version of Heroes Launcher worked perfectly fine with the exact same mod setup. I didn't have this problem before the recent update.

I've tried creating Random Maps many times since the update, but the result is always the same: crash every single time. So far, I haven't been able to successfully generate even one Random Map with TUM.

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem, especially after the August 15th update. Could this be a compatibility issue between the new Heroes Launcher version and TUM?

If anyone has encountered this before, knows a workaround, or has any idea what could be causing it, I'd really appreciate your help! 🙏

I really love TUM and would love to keep playing it, so I'm hoping there's a solution. 😭

I'm a casual player, so I bet it'll eventually release around 2027-2028. I'm interested to see if there will be things like new map glacier objects and event systems, too.
