100k in the bank💰
Okay, here’s what I’ve got (in the title).
I’m currently sitting on it (checking account).
I make a decent living (full time worker making just under 100k yearly). I plan to work another 10yrs, then retire.
My rent is $2,000 monthly.
I am mid 40s (age).
Currently, I am not interested in owning a house.
Now, I ask you,
What’s your advice if I am looking to get enough return to pay rent for the rest of my life?
Or.. is that even possible?
Please be kind. I have no experience in investing. I also plan to speak with a financial advisor next week.
EDIT - apologies. I have no idea how I spaced this. I DO have a retirement plan and it’s looking good. I have a 401k and a separate one that I and my employer pitch into.
EDIT - okay. No offense. I am not giving all my info out. I do not need life advice or any advice on my job. I did not include every detail. I am okay with work and after 10yrs, IM GOOD. I am retiring with everything you’d want in retirement.
I have a car, paid off. I will retire. I didn’t include normal bills for a reason.
