I’ve never played online multiplayer anything before.

I’m in the anomaly minding the business that pays me, then all of a sudden someone gifts me a companion egg (had no idea that was a thing tbh), I hatch it, and now I have a giant robot dog-like thing I’ve no idea what to do with.

The companion giver emotes a wave, bow, then started dancing, so I responded by waving, thanking, and dancing. Then they just ran off. Is that something that is normal or did I get hit by a drive by random act of kindness (RAK)?

I love this game and the community. Thanks fellow traveler 🫶🏼
