WIBTA for keeping the rental deposit after my ex took most of the furniture?

I (40F) broke up with my ex (43F) two months ago. I moved back in with my parent while I'm figuring things out. My ex continued to live in the house we rent. Five days ago, she sent me an email to tell me she'd moved out the day before, without any prior converation about her having found a new place or what we were going to do with the things the bought together.

I went over there yesterday to inspect the place. Everything was in good order but she took almost 8K worth of furniture and appliances we had bought together and left me about 2K worth. So I figure she owes me about half of the difference, which amounts to about 3K. Let's say 2K given that the stuff has deprecated in value a bit. I know she can't really afford to buy me out.

Our rental deposit is in my name only. She contributed 2K to it and already told me she expects me to return it once it's released to me.

I'm not sure what her reasoning is. She's refusing to talk to me. I do know she's talking badly about me to her friends and on social media, spiralling into more and more delusional claims about what a terrible person I am. It's so bad that several mutual friends have already cut all ties with her. So my best guess is that she's demonized me to the point where I don't deserve any consideration and I do deserve to be treated badly.

WIBTA if I kept her half of the rental deposit?

I'm not in the US. from a legal point of view, she would be a debtor for the 2K but a judge would very likely rule that she owes me for the furniture and the debts would cancel each other out. It's unlikely to come to that though since she's deathly afraid of lawyer costs getting out of hand.
