I've been trying to get at the sense of Harsh Noise as a genre, and I actually want to ask this out of curiosity, if people actively listen to it, and what is the catch for people who do listen to it?

Looking at artists like Merzbow, Whitehouse and unironically Nutbusters (who has an album entitled 'Harsh Noise Wall', that has harsh noise..) who have had actual careers in making this genre, it seems interesting that Harsh Noise which is in my opinion very unintelligible music has a listening.
