On second round of dificid, should I continue to take florastor with vowst (since it’s a yeast)?
I’ve had 3 occurrences of c diff since August 2025 since traveling internationally, tried vancomycin but it was resistant to vancomycin. Then I had dificid, it worked and I felt better like I was in the clear, but I think I tried to expand my diet too quickly and I didn’t feel 100 percent again but my symptoms were much more mild than the first time around. I got a colonoscopy a couple weeks ago and they said everything looked fine, I just had a little bit of inflammation until I did a Labcorp stool test just to be sure and it came back toxin a + b positive for c diff. I’m currently on my 4th day of taking dificid and I have been taking florastor for the past two weeks consistently. (My symptoms for this second time around with c diff have been bloating and a weakness and soreness in arms for the past three months or so but my stools have been more or less solid)
