Has anyone encountered the TH8A suddenly switching to sequential shifting when using the H shift mode?

I've been using this shifter for years and have always used the H shifter mode, but just now when I was playing FH5, I suddenly found that it would automatically switch to the sequential shifter mode. I had the same problem when I switched to GT7.
