Knee catches upon standing

I’m approaching my 6th week out from a TKR. Has anyone experienced or is experiencing the feeling of their knee catching upon standing up from a sitting position? When does this ever feel like any wear near a normal knee?

Outpatient Therapy & ROM

I would like to hear from you that have gone or are going through outpatient therapy. I am 4 weeks out from RTKR. The past 2 weeks I have been doing inpatient at home. I have been diligent from the get go about doing my exercises no less than twice a day every day and it has paid off. My therapist in home said I was doing great and said that I was just about full range.

Today was my first day of outpatient therapy. When I was on the table the therapist asked me to flatten my leg out as much as possible. He checked my range and said my knee was -6 degrees. He then told me to do it again but he was going to push my knee down. I sat up slightly horrified as he explained that it was necessary to do so. Has anyone else had this happen? Bottom line with me today was I didn’t let him do it. I would love to hear from you guys and tell me your experience. Thanks!

Post Surgical Issue

Surely I am not the only person who has had this problem. I am 3 weeks out and for the life of me find it nearly impossible to find a comfortable position, whether it’s laying down or sitting up, standing or not standing. I was able to get a reprieve earlier, but now unforgivingly impossible. Anybody have this issue? Any ideas for alleviating this that worked for you?
