I try hard to come with topics to discuss etc. sometimes it’s good. Sometimes not so ideal. Sometimes I don’t have the stomach to deal with some of these men who expect you to damn near do a magic trick to entertain them. I get so annoyed when someone is throwing virtual nickels and I’m expected to moan and be so grateful. I mean a nickel?? Ugh.
Money is obviously my motivation and I’ve set a time period for doing this. How do you motivate yourself when the room is dead or there are people just watching and not tipping? I’ve hit good nights but have had a hard time reinventing the wheel. Working with a ‘manager’ which I deeply regret, also adds another layer.
TLDR: I respect the hustle and need some tips for how to stay focused and amped when the room is dragging and I’m simply not feeling it.
