First time ever doing a self assessment tax return. Earned 37,800 total for the year, paid 7563 in tax, 2500 of which is from the 12500 tax free allowance, but im only due 999 in returns? Is this correct, it feels off, what happened to the 12500 tax free allowance? I was under the impression I’d get the 2500 in tax back? Thanks

I forgot to take a screenshot like a numpty; but when I tried to log into my HMRC tax account online (not through app) iOS came up with a notification saying my HMRC password has been compromised in a data leak.
Anyone else seen this? Is it true? Or was my phone just acting up?
