AIO - MIL walking in to my bedroom
My MIL lives with us and she helps us a tonne with our 2 little kids. She has been amazing for the kids and not sure what we would do without her help. My wife and I both work in the city most of the week and can work with the comfort that she will do what’s best for our children and that she will look after them. It’s been a load off our minds and we are truly lucky to have her help.
Off late I am seeing though that even if I am in my bedroom - MIL does not hesitate walking in to get something or to look for my wife. I have raised with my wife and asked her to respect my privacy in the bedroom, but she gets defensive and says I’m not being grateful enough for help.
AIO? I want my bedroom at least to be off limits, or at least check if I’m ok with it first? No issues if I’m not at home, but if I am home - then I feel there should be a boundary here.
