Cold Shoulder
6 months ago one of my husbands best friends touched me inappropriately. I told my husband who did not believe me and said his friend ‘wasn’t like that’. His friend was very drunk and cannot remember doing it and also said he ‘isn’t like that’.
Recently I told my husband that I was not mistaken, nor imagining things and the abuse did occur. I also told him that I need to know that he will support
Me and protect me from this type of abuse. I also stated that as his friend is in our friendship group I don’t expect to never see him but I expect him to keep his distance from me and for my husband to not act like they are best friends in front of me.
Since then my husband has been very cold towards me and I am getting the polite cold shoulder. It is tearing me apart.
2 months ago I had a hysterectomy with a few complications so have not been at my best, my husband acknowledged that I have had a rough time and said he ‘was just hanging in there’.
My husband is a good man and I love him very much but I don’t know how to deal with this behaviour.
