Sleep regression with toddler

We are 5 weeks postpartum and for the most part everything has been going better than expected up until the last few days. I think it finally hit my toddler (22 months) that baby sister is permanent. The tantrums have increased, but what really became challenging is nap and bedtime. He used to be amazing- kiss, hug, climb in bed and he’s out. Now it’s constantly crying for mommy. I spend as much time with him as possible. Read stories before bed and nap. Put sister down whenever I can. Give him all the extra love and attention I can for every second of the day and it’s not enough. Any help to get us through this? I tried a special mommy blanket to hug him while he sleeps and it made no difference.
