I Started learning guitar a couple days ago but i have had a difficult time deciding which side to play. For context, I am left handed and write and eat with my left hand, but i throw with my right. If i am playing an air guitar, i am strumming with my left hand. Most of the time when i pick up an actual guitar, it’s the opposite. When i play righty, fretting feels comfortable and easy, but picking and strumming feels odd. When i play lefty, fretting feels uncomfortable and my hand cramps easily. but, strumming feels fine. Both feel difficult which is expected considering i am a beginner. I have been stressing about this for the past week and i don’t want to make the wrong decision for myself in the long run. I am more concerned about me being able to play guitar than i am finding gear. What should I do?
