Exhaust questions.

So I have a 2017 Kawasaki z650 that I've taken from Florida to Idaho rode a bunch in Idaho and then Idaho to San Diego and all over san-diego. I'm modified a lot with this bike as I'm sure you'll see below but I'll list it out anyway with links only to most things:

- OEM Kawasaki top case system

- Shad 3p SH-35 paniers

- SW MOTECH 16-20L tank bag

- SW MOTECH magnetic tank ring

https://sw-motech.us/en-us/p/4052572189436?sku=TRT.00.787.31200%2FB

- TST industry rear fender eliminator (I wanted to keep my plate closer to the bike)

https://tstindustries.com/products/tst-fender-eliminator-kawasaki-ninja-650-z650-2017

- TST industry front and rear smoked out turn signals

https://tstindustries.com/products/tst-bl6-universal-sequential-led-pod-turn-signals

- New turn signal relay (didn't like faster flashes for turn signals)

- The only 19in windscreen ( I'm guessing on the size I got the biggest one available and they don't make them anymore to my knowledge)

- Added 1 or two teeth to the front sprocket ( can't remember which I know it wasn't three because that one wouldn't fit but we went with the next biggest one that could fit it's now either 16 or 17 teeth stock is 15)

- Removed three teeth from rear sprocket (from 46 teeth to 43 wouldn't mind dropping to 40 later)

- led headlight bulbs

- SAE battery tender plug

- Barrel style phone charger (with a voltmeter, on off button, two USB 3.0 ports and weather cover)↓

Upgraded 12v USB Outlet, 2PCS... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09236JCK8?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share

This one requires some explanation. So I used a hole saw on a drill to punch out a piece of plastic on the front left faring closest to the tank ( I'll try to include a photo) and then I soldered together the connection for it to the opposing end of an SAE cable ( I just did solder electric tape then shrink wrap) and it's plugged into my battery tender attachment and tucked into the plastic running benith the tank on that left side.

- aftermarket grips (never again I'll pay the shop to do it what a hell of an experience trying to do that the first time)

- Steel sub cage from impackttech ( seriously great company based out of So- Cal really amazing people)

- Ram mount phone mount ( NOT THE X GRIP ONE!! )

https://rammount.com/products/ram-hol-pd3-238au

- Ram mount cup holder ( Best thing ever)

https://rammount.com/products/rap-b-417bu

- generic universal fold out highway pegs (attached to steel sub cage)

- Corbin gunfighter and lady custom seat

https://www.corbin.com/kawasaki/kz6517gl.shtml

- tank protector sticker thing

Large Motorcycle Sportbike Ninja... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IAV84O0?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share

- tank grip pads

Gas Fuel Tank Pad Traction Side... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XK4L99H?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share

- Radiator grill cover ( used white and green paint markers to highlight the Z )

- New plastic set

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F1DFCS29?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share

- Engine cover for generator coil side

Now here's what I still have to do:

- Full system exhaust

- ECU flash/ tune

- New bar ends

- Proper throttle lock

- New levers

- New foot pegs

- Green brake line's

- New mirror's

- Bar risers

Now onto the part where I could use some help...

- Full system exhaust:

What's the loudest exhaust I can get that isn't sacrificing fuel mileage or performance noticably for just sound alone? Can I just straight pipe it and call it a day?

- ECU flash/ tune

I've thought about getting a dynojet power commander 6 to not kill my engine when I get a new exhaust but is it worth the price vs just flashing the ECU? Also if I flash the ECU I was wondering if I could remove a problem I occasional run into.

The symptom:

Every once in a while sometimes when I ride the bike my dash has no clue what gear I'm in and I get an error code I believe it was 13 basically saying my gear position sensor I'd fucked and after a while it will just go away.

My theory:

The fact I've changed the gearing so much means that occasionally the gear position sensor gets confused.

The big question:

Is this something that can be fixed with an ECU flash? And should I ECU flash or use the power commander 6 from dynojet?

It can be fairly annoying when my bike doesn't want to display any gear other than neutral but it doesn't hurt the functionality of the bike and is random at best.

- New mirror's:

Honestly almost anything's going to look better than OEM mirrors but they also kinda such because with the vibrations of the bike it's hard to see anything with them anyway. Anyone have suggestions on mirrors that are better about that and if it doesn't exist just so quality mirrors that aren't OEM?

- New foot Pegs:

So the OEM ones have a nice bit of rubber on them which I like the bike does have a lot of vibration just nature of the beast with a single cylinder engine. Kinda the same thing with the mirrors here what's the best foot pegs for absorbing the vibrations and if it doesn't exist what are some reputable and cool ones you can recommend?

- New bar ends

So once again looking for good vibration dampening but if not really possible just quality recommendations for good stuff.

- Proper throttle lock:

What are y'all using and what would be a good upgrade to the little plastic thing that rest against my break lever or is that seriously the best choice?

- Bar risers:

I don't know why this seems so intimidating to me likely a lack of knowledge but if anyone could help me figure out getting the tallest and best set of these possible I'd be extremely happy.

- Green brake line's:

- really been tossing this one around in the back of my head for a while, has anyone done this or have a trusted place to order these? Also has anyone gone from a cable to hydrologic line for your front brake?

- New levers:

This one's not hard but I'd still love to get input from people using non OEM levers before I decide what direction I'm going to go with it.

The attached photos are of my lovely bike completely naked when I first got it and along the way as well as some drawn on screen shots that explain how and where my phone charger is run, hope somebody gets some use out of this and can hopefully help me out as well. I'm always happy to talk bikes especially my z as we have been all over the country together. Thanks for reading through this if you did I know it's a lot.

A little bit of positive

I know people probably are used to all the bullshit and things we have to be upset and sad and otherwise disgruntled about but I want to take a moment and really appreciate the MWR, as well as my fellowshipmates. I got to have a blast at an MWR event where there was beer and a dunk tank that they just kind of let us use, I'm not used to that from the Navy, I was love to have a beer without somebody preaching about how it was wrong, I was allowed to enjoy some camaraderie with my fellow service members without somebody laying out of rule book, I just showed up sat in the dunk tank and let people dunk me, switched out with other people had laugh's had a good time and honestly it was amazing! No bs this is dangerous even though a second grader could tell you that no well we can't allow that because someone might get hurt if they're overly stupid just a sign expected to be ready by people who handle millions of dollars worth of equipment that keep people alive and safe trusted with fundamental safety, a few free drinks and a real moment to relax, that's exceedingly rare and I apriceate every second of what was afforded and I think my fellow sailors did too. I know there's plenty off doom and gloom around but I figured some good positive genuine goodness deserves to be shared even though It was a few week's ago I'm still glowing at how wonderful this brief moment of reprieve and connection with fellow sailors has been I've never even met was and I feel like having more of that would be a wonderful thing especially in today's navy! Thanks for listening to my rant. Hope you all have a wonderful day

Help what does this mean should I be concerned?

I was just driving my Pajero I pulled up to a car wash and I noticed that only the rear left light was on earlier in the day I had went from too high to four high to get up a pretty gnarly hill but otherwise I can't think of anything that would be causing this problem should I be worried Is it even a problem. I would just like to understand it better I haven't had the vehicle for long. But I forked out a pretty penny so I'd rather catch issues early 😅 My best understanding of the situation is that both of the rear wheels should be green but for some reason only the rear left one is any help to understand this would be great.
