So, I was thinking of investing in Atlas's Islamic Fund of Funds. In the FMR expense ratio is less than 1% for the three variants of the Fund of Funds i.e. AAAIP,AMAIP and ACAIP .

However, AAAIP for example invests in Atlas funds such as AIDSF (equity), which separately reports a 3% management fee and TER above 4%.

So, my question is that if I invest in fund of funds, is the actual TER the sum of the underlying funds TER + the TER of the funds of funds or just the FoF wrapper TER.

I asked the customer rep and he said its the FoF TER only but I don't believe that.

Would really appreciate the opinion of those who understand how Fund of Fund TERs are actually calculated and what's likely happening here.

I recently received:

• Listening: 8.5
• Reading: 8.0
• Writing: 8.0
• Speaking: 7.0
• Overall: 8.0

I previously scored 8.0 in Speaking, so I am considering an EOR.

My concern is mainly about how the test was conducted. In both Parts 1 and 3, the questioning felt extremely rapid-fire. The examiner frequently moved to the next question after I had given only a direct answer and a brief reason, even when I was still developing a relevant idea. On several occasions, they began the next question while I was still speaking.

They also began asking Part 3 questions before explaining the transition, then paused to clarify that we had entered Part 3. Earlier, they asked whether I worked or studied even though I had already stated that I worked during the introductory exchange.

I understand that examiners must control the timing and may interrupt candidates. However, this felt more restrictive than my previous IELTS Speaking test and made it difficult to demonstrate extended, developed responses, particularly in Part 3.

Overall, I felt fluent and confident and used a good range of vocabulary, although I paused briefly once or twice when the direction of a follow-up question was unclear.

Has anyone had a Speaking score increase from 7.0 to 7.5 or 8.0 after an EOR? Based on this experience, would you choose an EOR or a One Skill Retake?

EDIT: Need this to score well for a Visa app.

I need some honest reviews about Atlas asset management from those who have invested in its funds. How has been your experience so far from account opening to support and redemptions? Anyone visited their office in Lahore? Was their staff cooperative.

I understand they have the lowest expense ratios in the market and decent performance as compared to many other AMCs. I am planning to move a significant chunk of my savings in their pension fund and debt funds from my existing Almeezan investment funds.

Almeezan has very high expense ratios but they have a strong presence and their support is surprisingly good. Plus I can walk into their office if I have any queries. This is a pro but I am not sure its worth the mediocre performance and TER.

Anything else that I have overlooked which I should know investing with Atlas, please do share. Thanks!
