I recently realized I’m gifted, scored 99% on Binet test per Gate entry. I know I’m kinda smart, but what else defines gifted? What kind of neurodivergence? I think I have some strong masking/coping strategies, and some really bad ones (spacing out, frozen, no emotion, etc)
I was in Montessori and Gate. I scored 99% on the Binet test at the end of third grade. I can’t remember anything from gate, but I remember being tested. The psychologist kept checking in on me, it was odd because I felt fine. I remember she kept staring at me with wide eyes, watching my every reaction. Honestly she was acting like she was on low dose LSD, but maybe was just attentive, still, it stands out in my memory. I had a very strong occult experience in Montessori that involved a movie about native Americans. Also, all I did in Montessori was stare at the California Indian station all class every day. Also, people mention an occipital bun common in gate kids. I have this, which seems to have genetically come from Neanderthals. I don’t just have this, I have the whole body of a Neanderthal. And out of 10 people in my family plus family of origin, 3 have hazel eyes with central heterochromia, while I have grey eyes with central heterochromia but lack the common blue eye gene variant. No one else in my family of origin has this body type.

Assuming it is like an astral plane or other dimension. What do we look like to others there. Is it consistent? Like real life? Can we choose?
It seems like I’m dreaming of traumatic or high anxiety situations from my past when the mall world bathrooms appear. This seems like a constant for me. Anyone else?
There’s a lot of dialog about gifted folk being annoying/arrogant. But think about it, gifted people make many feel insecure. Since 98% of the population is much louder than 2%, that point of view will be amplified. So common to hear so and so is great technically, but zero people skills. When really, they worry about their ability technically and use their vulnerability around the subject to generate feelings of being treated poorly in order to create a believable offense.
I was in gate, in the early/mid eighties. I can’t remember anything. I used to have a recurring dream that really bothered me. In it, I’m in a room that is dark with pulled curtains. I always try to turn the light on but the switch doesn’t work, it clicks but no light comes on. Then a menacing but invisible presence is in the room, and the curtains move spontaneously, as though by ghost or telekinesis. I remember a way too sweet drink, but can’t remember where I drank it. I have absolutely insane OOB/lucid/vivid dreams.
