Update as promised!!!

SOMEONE CHAD ME PLEASE 😭😭😭
I’M GOING TO BE A DOCTORRRRRRRR 😭
I JUST GOT THE A YESTERDAY AND I’M LITERALLY STILL SHAKING. I don’t even think it has fully hit me yet. After all the studying, applications, interviews, rejection emails, waiting, stressing, and constantly wondering if I was good enough… I ACTUALLY DID IT 😭😭
And to everyone out there with a low MCAT score: I’m going to keep saying it because I needed to hear it too. Your MCAT is ONE part of your application. Please don’t let one number convince you that you don’t belong in medicine.
I had a 497 and still got here. 🥹
I’M GOING TO BE A PHYSICIAN. WHAT???? 😭😭😭

Help with building school list for either DO or MD school

Hi everyone! I would really appreciate help building a realistic MD/DO school list for this cycle.
Texas resident
URM (Black female)
Graduated early in 3 years
3.92 cGPA/sGPA
MCAT: 497(bad test day😭)
I know my MCAT is my weakest point, so I’m mainly looking for schools that value holistic review, service, leadership, and strong clinical experience.
Clinical Experience:
~5,000+ hours as a Home Health Aide/Personal Care Assistant since high school

Worked closely with elderly and chronically ill patients

Also worked in home healthcare administration handling scheduling, charting, physician orders, and patient records

Research:
~1,500 research hours in public health/aging research

Publication in Innovation in Aging

Multiple poster presentations and research awards

Shadowing:
~200 hours family medicine + hospital shadowing

Leadership/Service:
Founder of a nonprofit supporting older adults

3 years of leadership in a healthcare organization focused on mentorship and outreach

Extensive volunteering/community service

Interests:
Geriatrics, family medicine, primary care, underserved medicine, preventive care
Current DO list:
UIWSOM

VCOM

LMU-DCOM

ARCOM

WVSOM

WCUCOM

LECOM

Touro

KCOM

BCOM

Would love honest feedback on:
Schools I should add/remove

Realistic DO schools for my stats

Whether any MD schools are worth applying to

OOS-friendly and holistic schools

Thank you!
