I usually just do a solid sheet of grip unless I love the top graphic or using scrap sheets. Just grabbed these 3 from around the house or in the car and been session them. Set them down and realized they all got a break in the grip.

Got a D 16 poly deck from Flat Face this I wanna designate for that, probably some cheap ass china or leefai trucks and some soft bowl wheel but not sure.
