Has anyone else's cats decided that one of the litters is exclusively for poop? My two cats have four litter boxes spread out in our basement utility room. Maybe 2 months ago, we got our first model with a cover. Ever since, both cats have decided that's the poop toilet. Exclusively.

I accept that cat logic is one of the unknowable mysteries of the universe... but cant help but wonder.

Does it feel safer while doing something vulnerable? Easier to feel like they've hid it well?

Any theories?

They use to use all the litters pretty interchangeably... its the same litter in all the boxes. One of the uncovered ones is 2 feet away with the same view of the door and room.
