What NFL news matters more than Brock Bowers is a "football robot from heaven"?

What NFL news matters more than Brock Bowers is a "football robot from heaven"?

Sure, it is interesting to hear that “Jordan Tyson is an elite separator, and “Keon Coleman will exist" but here are 10 non-Rashee Rice-related news items that have actually factored into my player value equation...

  1. Alec Pierce suffered a significant ankle injury

The Colts did not select a WR in the Top-100, and Pierce will miss most of the offseason recovering from ankle surgery. This just further boosts Josh Downs’ sleeper status.

  1. John Harbaugh is not sure when Malik Nabers will return

This comes after reports of a clean-up procedure on Nabers' knee. Expect him to start off on the PUP and not be 100% for the majority of the season. This bad for both Nabers, Dart, and the Giants entire offense in 2026.

  1. Terrance Ferguson is in the lead for Rams TE1

Matthew Stafford’s TE1 is a valuable position IF Ferguson can take the baton and run with it after coaches expressed genuine interest in him ascending this season.

  1. Brock Bowers is a "football robot from heaven"

The GOAT coach quote about a player. Combine this news that TE-friendly Kirk Cousins will be under center and Nailor is in line to be WR1, and Bowers is teed up for the greatest fantasy tight end season of all time.

  1. Chris Rodriguez is projected to lead the Jaguars in carries

The bull’s case for Tuten requires a significant rush share. If reporters close to the team see Rodriguez as the primary back on early downs and Lequint Allen as a third-down option, Tuten appears to be headed for a touch squeeze in his second season.

  1. Alt and Slater ahead of schedule

Joe Alt (one of the best tackle prospects of all time) and Rashawn Slater (second best tackle in the sport in 2024) played zero games together in 2025. Both Herbert’s time to throw and Hampton’s offensive line yards will rise this year.

  1. The C-Word: Kyren Williams is officially a committee back

Talk of Kyren Williams moving into full-blown committee status before training camp is a major concern. Blake Corum projects to have some standalone value, and Jarquez Hunter looms.

  1. Jonah Coleman is great on third down

An old-school coach like Sean Payton does not often tout a rookie running back’s third-down blocking prowess. Denver drafting Coleman sets up a classic touch squeeze for RJ Harvey.

  1. Xavier Worthy’s 2025 season ruined by Week 1 shoulder injury

Tape grinders appreciate Worthy’s route running, and his speed is otherworldly. The news he was playing through a torn shoulder all year is the puzzle piece we needed to stay bullish on Worthy in all formats this season.

  1. Jonathan Brooks’ breakout season is now

There is no cheaper bell cow back in dynasty. When both are healthy, the debate between Jonathon Brooks and Chuba Hubbard is real. All beat reporting arrows point to Brooks starting camp at 100%, and he is well-positioned to earn a standalone role with RB1 upside.

What news do you think has mattered most for dynasty leagues?

Looking at team depth charts after the NFL Draft, these five running backs are teed up to produce at value in fantasy leagues this season.

  1. Kyle Monangai

The Bears headed into the Draft with a thin RB room: Monangai, a recent late-round hit in, and DeAndre Swift who is headed into the final year of his contact. The Bears invested in the offensive line with their second pick and ignored the running back position, which set up Monangai for a rotational role that could grow into a primary back role in 2027 for a suddenly surging offense.

  1. Lequint Allen

Reports continue to surface that Allen will operate as the team's satellite back, and Jaguars did not use any of their many late-round selections on the RB position. Allen could easily post a James White-style PPR flex season on Jacksonville high-octane offense.

  1. Tahj Brooks

Brooks is an easy add in all dynasty leagues after his redshirt rookie year. Brooks would have been a Day 2 pick in this class given his outstanding college rushing and receiving production. With the size and athleticism to be an NFL workhourse, Brooks place the right role on the right team to maximize fantasy upside.

  1. Trey Benson (hot take alert!)

Benson is Bhayshul Tuten with a year off, and I'm always chasing that 98th percentile speed score, even when scouts critique his vision. Love to the Cardinals paves the way for Arizona to trade Benson to a more fantasy-friendly landing spot.

  1. Tyler Goodson

Goodson is a mega-athlete who has been super-efficient with the limited opportunities that he has earned over the course of his 3-year career in the NFL. He is now the No. 3 RB for the Falcons, who did not draft an RB, and is an injury away from pushing Brian Robinson for touches in Atlanta.
