Confusingly, the one person Meryn can trust is Stark Therion—the dark, dangerous Alpha she thought hated her as much as she loathed him. Yet, his loyalty is unshakeable. His presence is intoxicating. And with his guidance, Meryn can seize an unthinkable level of power.

With enemies closing in and shadows stirring in her dreams, Meryn stands to lose her kingdom—and her heart.

Blood will spill. Bonds will break. Fate will be tested.

Got an opinion that's different from others'? Want to share it with the sub, but too afraid of a backlash? Or are you just curious about readers think about certain things in fantasy romance?

You can safely share it in this weekly Sunday thread!

But please remember to be kind to each other. To facilitate this type of discussion, we ask users the following:

  • Don't attack others for their opinion
  • Discuss books and authors, not fellow readers
  • Since this is an "unpopular opinion" thread, we encourage users to not downvote simply because they disagree with an opinion--that's the point! Please keep in mind, though, that mods cannot enforce a no-downvoting rule. Let’s just keep the discussion friendly!

🧡 Thank you and have a great discussion!

This is the Self-Promo monthly thread, a place where you can share your own work that is related to fantasy romance or would be of interest to the community!

  • A call for ARC readers
  • Your Etsy or merch store
  • Your Instagram, Tumblr, TikTok, other socials
  • Your Discord channel
  • Your blog or website
  • A subreddit that you created
  • A book you wrote or working on
  • Your crafts
  • And more!

Or you can chat about your writing process and tell us about memorable moments!

We recommend including the synopsis, tropes, art or cover, why you think people would like the book, and other unique details.

Advertising is not permitted on this subreddit but can be added to this recurring monthly post to share your work and projects with other fantasy romance readers.

Welcome to another Reading Wrap-Up Megathread! This thread will be for anyone who'd like to share all the books they've read recently. Please feel free to comment with your tier lists, reading calendars, and reviews!

  • All reading wrap-ups will be allowed in this thread.
  • If you'd like to post a standalone reading wrap-up post, please ensure you're following the new guidelines for what is required for standalone reading wrap-up and tier list posts: 📣 New Pilot Rules for Reading Wrap-Up and Tier List Posts. Any wrap-up posts that do not meet the level of detail required will be redirected to this thread.

Though not required, we still encourage commenters to summon the romance bot by putting curly brackets around the book name and author--e.g., {Title by Author}--and share your thoughts about the books you've read. That way the comments and discussions can be searchable by users in the future.

Interested in making your own tier list or wrap-up image?

  • For tier lists, you can use tiermaker.com. You can also use this Canva template to create a tier list on Canva. Click "File" and "Make a Copy" to copy the template to your own Canva account for editing. Please do not request access to edit the template; anyone with the link can view the template and save a copy.
  • Bookmory and StoryGraph are also popular apps that organize monthly wrap-ups in calendar form.

Reading Wrap-Up Postimage

It's the end of the month, which means some of us have amassed a list of DNFs and need to share with the other readers.

Tell us all about why you disliked a book and what made you DNF it. Was it a valid reason, or was it petty (we've all been there). Would you still recommend the book to others, or would you protect them from the horrors you've experienced? Don't leave anything out!

Monthly DNFs

u/FantasyRomanceMod — 24 days ago

The theme for this week’s megathread is Fated Mates. If a book you love has mates, soul mates, bonded, mates, heart mates, or any kind of predestined or eternal bond between the love interests, we want to hear about it!

Please note that the presence of a recommendation below may be a spoiler of sorts for some books, so feel free to browse if you are specifically looking for fated mates recs, but heed this warning if you absolutely don't want to know. When providing a recommendation, let's leave the mated pair out of the comments to be a surprise for potential readers.

Here is the link to the Megathread Wiki Page for a compilation of all the sub's megathreads!

How to use Book Recommendation Megathreads: These megathreads are not meant to replace other recommendation posts on the same topic. As long as a particular trope or topic is not overly repetitive over a certain period of time, book requests that cover megathread topics are allowed! We then collect those posts to put them in the pinned comment below, so the most recent book recommendation discussions will always be gathered in this one post for future reference.
