Metal Earth - Avatar AMP Suit

Looked like a lot of parts initially when first saw the sheets. This came out well. No issues with it at all, was actually a really nice fun little build. Everything went together perfectly, instructions were spot on etc etc. The hardest part was the final pieces that go on top of the shoulders. Took me about 7 hours.

Need to buy a display case now…

The scale of the issue

I hadn’t realised quite how mad I’d gone. Full set ofMU transformers other than (shockwave and frenzy, hoping I get lucky on eBay), plus the MU StarCraft and metal Earth ones I just had to have. Need a 12 step program for metal models!!!

MU - StarCraft 2 Siege Tank

“Man I just love blowing things up!”

My very first MU model and the first of the StarCraft 2 ones I managed to snaffle up off the internet.

Took about 10 hours I’d say. Was actually pretty easy in the end. The only bit that was a bit sketchy was putting the bottom and top bits together. Only other issue I had was it’s an adjustment for me working from the sheet rather than having the instructions up on screen.

Metal Earth - some I made earlier

A few of the models I’ve made earlier in order I built them that I haven’t done posts for.
The N1 was my first, wish I’d started with something easier, probably gonna buy another and do it again!

MU Starcraft question

Anyone else who’s built these, anything to watch out for and any tips please?
Gonna start with the non siege mode tank (the light coloured box) first of all as it looks the easiest.

Metal Earth - Sith Tie Fighter

Pew pew

This was actually quite tricky lot of little parts to make up the arms the wings attach too and the body. I think it came out quite well though

Metal Earth - Darth Vader

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

So, I was looking forward to building this. Turns out to be horrible to build. Instructions even on the website have mistakes. Legs didn’t go together right despite thinking I’d followed the instructions, arms were fine. The face should be a ring of hell, was just fiddly then it broke and I had to bust out the super glue 😢 The helmet part was easy enough.

Lightsaber went together well, but again despite following the instructions and orientation etc it was wonky, fixed it so no drama.

Overall it’s not too difficult it’s just not much fun. Having built a couple of other figures I’m guessing this is an older model as the newer ones (Mando and Stormtrooper) just seem to be better designed. This definitely didn’t come out as good as I’d hoped.

Metal Earth - Premium R2D2

Beep boop beep

Definitely not a 6/10 difficulty cos of all the small parts on the legs imo, more like an 7 or 8/10, but not too bad and didn’t take too long to build. Stoked with how it came out.

Metal Earth - Stormtrooper

My latest, pretty happy with it. Took maybe 15hrs ish. The figure was easy enough in the end but the gun was kinda annoying.

Metal Earth - The Mandalorian

This is the way!

My first metal earth figure, 10th build.

Saving IG11 for when I feel a bit more confident with the figures.
