Forehead reduction 21 weeks PO.

I know I said I wouldn't update for a while. However, I finally took the plunge and shaved my head after my rapid hairloss ceased a few weeks back. My hair was a patchy mess, which is why I have clipped it to allow it to grow back more evenly. As you can see, the scar is invisible. And the difference is more evident on these pics, I think. I have no regrets. I forget I had it done until I see old photos. The healing process is relatively painless.

My incision is almost invisible, I can finally look to grow out my fringe. Feeling returned fully in my scalp around week 10, I can finally satisfy itches, which would continue no matter how hard I scratched the numb scalp. I lost a lot of hair on top for the first 8 weeks post surgery, and it took 9 weeks for the last bit of swelling at the centre front to flatten. My hair is now growing in the incision without irritation. My hairline was brought down 2.5cm, the maximum my scalp would allow.

Unfortunately, I recently had a hypothyroidism flare unrelated to this surgery, so my fringe has thinned considerably. It will be a while longer before I can fully appreciate the results due to this. Will update again at a year PO.
