I feel that glitch as a company, already makes so much money through ad revenue and merch, and has already made almost all of their series free. If a single episode got leaked, I doubt it would do much to them financially.
And yes, I get that this isn’t really part of the main concern—spoilers are. But for people who were *already* willing to watch it from the comfort of their own home, I don’t understand why they just don’t watch the leaked version instead of waiting for the official release. It just seems a lot more logical for me personally. People also forget that watching it in theaters may be a bit risky for some black tadc fans, considering how the fandom excused the actions of Ashleigh and Michael (which, I forgive them because they made an amazing apology, and they’ve worked on themselves since then.) Not to mention, the fandom in general I just absolutely insane.
For the people planning to watch it in theaters it getting leaked is more of a reasonable concern because they want the theater experience. But I’m pretty sure that there are definitely some options on the social media platform that would allow you to block tadc content. I found out that the BrazilIan dub got leaked on TikTok (and TikTok which is don’t use, tends to be the more popular social media app nowadays, so information gets spread rather quickly.) I get that it can be frustrating if you want the theater experience, but again I’m sure that there’s personalization options to prevent you from getting spoiled.
