First time being ghosted after a great first date
I (f28) matched with a man (m26) on Tinder. We met up last week on Tuesday. He had just gotten back from a business trip and the following day I was travelling.
We had a great time. Talked over something to drink and went for a brief walk. Laughed a lot. Genuinely one of my best first dates. Towards the end we had a prolonged hug, lots of eye contact and he said he wanted to see me when I am back. I agreed but broke the eye contact when the Taxi came. I said I would text him when I’m back. Maybe I should have lingered for a little while extra in case he wanted to kiss me or arranged for a second date on site. I texted him a few days later and said I’d be back on Wednesday and that it had been really nice seeing him. Then yesterday I followed up. No answer.
I don’t yet live in his city permanently but been here two months and looking to relocate here come fall. He knew this and even asked me about logistics for the summer. I am lost as to why things went south. I’ve never been ghosted after meeting in person yet alone after a great date.
And yes, I know that attractive successful men have options but I am on a good level myself. What went wrong?
