AVP Use Case Questions (at sea!)
I’m thinking of buying a Vision Pro (secondhand if I can find a decent price), and wanted to get some opinions on a use case.
I’m going on an extended work trip (6+ months at sea). Personal space will be at a premium and connectivity will be poor (No cell service, WiFi will be slow and unreliable if regularly available at all).
My idea is to use it for personal entertainment. Movies/TV, games, and using the spatial photos feature to relive some family memories as I’ll be away from them. I’ve got a hard drive full of movies that I can Airdrop to the headset and will download as much streaming content I can before I leave.
Few things that I want some opinions on below:
How does the Vision Pro do without connectivity?
Does the AVP app store have apps that play video files? (.mp4, .avi, .mkv, etc.)?
What things should I look out for if looking to buy secondhand on OfferUp or FB Marketplace?
Is the M2 model still worth it?
Any recommendations on AVP accessories for a somewhat rugged environment? (probably would buy a pelican case for it).
Any answers are much appreciated, wanted to see what the everyday users thought.
