I feel like I am supposed to be someone else

Hi all you beautiful women, first of all thank you for making this sub.

secondly, I am 27F, have been stuttering my whole life. I have a job and a fair amount of friends, to the extent that I am certainly not lonely, mostly because I have a supportive family as well. however, I have always felt like I was supposed to be a more talkative and bubbly person. The part of the world I am from, women are expected to be yappers and pleasant people. My stutter results in me absolutely avoiding any unnecessary conversation, so much so that I think at this point I am introverted.

I cannot help but wonder what my life would be like without it, If I was just a normal woman, a talkative, bubbly, loud, expressive woman. Don't know if any of you guys feel the same... but this is just something I wanted to express here.

Thank you

I rejected a seemingly good match... context below

About two weeks ago my father (he handles my matrimony account), got a call from a guy's mother expressing interest in my profile. Guy lives in same city as me and his family is from another city. Has a decent job etc, seemed ok. My father showed me his biodata and I was like sure I can talk to him/meet him, good with either.

3 days later, his mother asks my father to arrange a zoom call because she wants us all to get on video call. Mind you, at this point, I don't have the guy's number and he doesn't have mine either. We have not interacted at all, not even one text message. but before her son and I even talk, she wanted to get on video call with me and my whole family.

I completely understand conducting basic screening on a phone call if you want some basic details about me. And on top of that, I was fully willing to talk to this guy and meet him even, just to see if there is anything there. However, his mother being so involved and wanting to see me before I so much as speak to her son truly rubbed me the wrong way.

I know that to many of you, especially men, it may not seem like a big deal. It is just a video call etc etc. But I think I just went with my gut here, and something seemed truly off with this situation... have you guys experienced this?

Not sure if I’m asking for too much

Hello good people of Reddit
I recently started this arranged marriage process and my father is handling my matrimony profile. For context, I am 27F from a metro city, currently living with parents (tho I have lived alone too in the past), earning ~28 lpa, average looking and physically relatively fit (I’m skinny but started going to the gym recently to become actually fit). I mention these things because I understand that it’s important to bring things to the table yourself, as AM is pretty much a transaction honestly.

Now here’s what I am looking for: someone who is well educated (good college because personally I really respect academic qualification), stable job, relatively modern and open-minded in thinking (as I have only lived in metro cities), and decent looking. I don’t care about height as I’m like 5’3 myself so lol.

The kicker is that when I’m considering someone through AM, I feel like at least I should feel some kind of attraction when I see a guy’s pictures. Am I wrong in this? Should you not care about looks at all? My parents of course say that I shouldn’t care about looks but don’t we all care at least a little bit? I know I’m not extremely good looking, but shouldn’t I have the right to consider people who may not even be conventionally good looking, but at least slightly attractive to me? If yes then how do I fight my parents back on this I don’t know

**please don’t DM me as I don’t check them, thank you!**
