how long would it take for me to get in & out of LGA?

hi everyone, I'm planning on a one day trip from ORD to LGA and was wondering how long it'd take for me to get in & out of LGA. my flight lands at 10:17am and I need to get to flushing main street by 11 -- is this doable? I'm also wondering how early I'd need to get back to LGA -- my flight is at 2:30pm and I'd finish my last appointment by 12:30ish. I don't have TSA precheck or checked bags. for context, this will be on a Saturday and I'll be flying United (although I can switch to a Tuesday if that makes a difference at all). any advice would be greatly appreciated! thank you!!

heat damage on coanda2x

hi everyone! I’m looking to make my first big hair tool purchase and get the Dyson Coanda 2x. as it's a pretty huge investment I’ve been reading countless posts and reviews, but I have a few concerns I was hoping I can get some insights on.

first, I have very thin, straight asian hair. I'd say my hair is on the healthier side, and I do hair masks/oil 2-3x a week. I rarely style my hair (1-2x a week), and never used heat protectant before (I didn't think it was necessary if I'm just blow drying my hair majority of the time).

with the Dyson, I plan to use the round brush on my bangs and straightener/curling barrel everyday.

I’ve seen reviews saying that people who aren't used to styling their hair actually experienced more damage with the Dyson. is this true or am I just overthinking that the Dyson will end up frying my hair? also, is it worth investing in a high quality heat protectant if I'm using the Dyson and do I need to use it everyday? lastly, whenever I’ve gotten perms in Korea, they never last and the stylists told me it's because my hair is so thin and straight that it just doesn't take perms well. because of this, I’m worried the Dyson curls will just fall out immediately. does anyone with a similar hair type have advice on how to make the curls last longer?

this is a lot but I really want to make sure it’s worth the money before taking the plunge. any tips or product recommendations would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

is doing a CNA program worth it?

hi everyone,

I’m entering my senior year of college as a non-nursing major and plan to apply to ABSN programs after graduation. I currently have zero relevant background or experience, so I’m trying to figure out the most strategic way to spend this year before applying. trying to navigate this transition alone has been pretty overwhelming, so I would greatly appreciate any advice!

I have a few potential ideas in mind, but I’m not sure what to prioritize:

  • CNA program: do this over the summer, take the exam, and work part-time during my fall & spring semesters in a hospital (or ideally a derm clinic, though pretty unlikely)
    • if a CNA program isn't worth it, should I just volunteer at a hospital and get hours..?
  • I have an offer to join a psychology lab focusing on the long-term impacts of child sexual abuse across multiple levels of analysis, but not sure if research experience would help with my application at all
  • I have an opportunity to volunteer at a nursing home, but it would only be for a few weeks over the summer before I go back to school. I spoke to an admissions office and they mentioned they prioritize consistency. is this short term volunteering this even worth doing?

should I try to do a combination of these, or put all my energy into just one? thank you so much in advance for your help!
