Straight hair :(

The first picture is after curling it with the Barrel attachment. I put mousse in it before and hairsprayed it after. I held each small section on hot for a long time and did the cool shot… pretty right? Anyways, the second picture is an hour later!!!! I didn’t even go outside!

On TikTok, everyone says mousse and hairspray, but it doesn’t work for me. My hair is straight naturally, pretty much like the second picture.

Also, I’ve tried leaving the curls pinned up for hours, but they fall just as fast, if not faster, than without…

All I want is volume and a slight curl…

I want to get layers, but I want to learn how to style my hair first.

Any advice?

Dyson air wrap and air strait

Is it worth getting both otherwise what one do you prefer

Currently they’re on sale for like 50-100 more expensive than the co anda which I know doesn’t exactly straighten hair the best which is why i was thinking js getting both however ive seen people say the air wraps flyaway attachment also sorta straightens the hair so would it be worth js getting that

For context i have 2b/2c hair which goes js past my mid back/elbow which i usually js air dry or straighten it depending on how much time i have. I do wanna get into curling it or blowing it out though and i don’t own anything other than a straightener atm

What’s everyone’s experience with the Dyson air strait or air wrap or is there any better alternatives

Dyson Airwrap id o Co-anda 2x?

Coanda 2x - tangled from too much air pressure?? Or sleek results?

I REALLY like the idea of being able to dry my thick hair much faster with the Coanda 2x, but I tried the Dyson Supersonic Nural and didn’t like it - it had so much crazy power that my hair flew everywhere and became tangled. Will the Co-anda 2x do the same thing?? I want a device that will dry my hair quickly but also give me sleek and frizz free/tangle free results…

Diffuser Attachment Air power lower

I recently bought the Airwrap with a diffuser attachment included. I was curious if it's normal for the attachment to make the air power significantly less than without the attachment. My old setup is a normal cheap hair dryer with a diffuser attachment from Amazon, and the air power is a lot more compared to the Dyson. I'm just curious if that's how it's supposed to distribute air. Thank you!

Which Airwrap to get????

Hi all! I’m a little over my skis with this and was hoping for some advice. My wife and I have our anniversary coming up at the end of the month and last week I saw her scrolling on her phone and caught a glimpse of her looking these up. Now, whether it was on purpose to give me hints….. who knows? That being said I could not have less knowledge about hair care accessories. I could really use some help as far which one to get her. She’s Greek and has very thick and curly hair. Is this as simple as just getting the “curly” model? Are there any accessories I need to get with it??? Again, I’m completely out of my depth, but I’d sure like to get her the correct model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Confused between Dyson products. Please help

Hey everyone,

I have very thick, dry and frizzy hairs. They are not non manageable. If I have some imp event, I usually go to a salon to get a blow dry. I can't open my hairs bcoz they look so fluffy and are all over the place. (Attached pictures). I don't know much abt styling and just put a small clip as u can see in pictures if I go out.
But I want to change it and need better guidance that what product can be suitablw for my hairs. I am confused between supersonic and airwrap. Have heard mix reviews. Will airwrap styling will stay in my thick wavy hairs? or will supersonic will give me salon blow dry look?
Please dyson girlies. Help me.

What products actually make Dyson Airwrap curls last? (UK)

UK people with a Dyson Airwrap… what are your holy grail products for making the curls actually last? I have naturally straight, fine/thin hair and my curls drop so quickly, sometimes within 30–60 minutes. 😭

I’m looking for products that are easy to buy in the UK (Boots, Superdrug, Space NK, Sephora UK, etc.). What mousse, heat protectant, texture spray, hairspray or styling products do you swear by? I’d love to know your full routine too!

Dyson Issue

Hi, I’m traveling w my gf rn she has the Co anda 2x. She used it at a hotel last night and it worked great. We are now at another hotel and she’s trying to use it but it keeps turning on for 2 seconds, then turning off, then flashing white.

The outlets are rated for it, it’s a Hilton- same as the last place. Tried 3 different outlets, and the hotel hair dryer works in each.

We pulled the filter cage and it is pretty spotless, ran it under water, dried it- still not working.

Anyone know what could be up or a troubleshoot?

Thanks

Rollers and texturing spray are the best combo that worked for me

Unfortunately this tight of a wave would not hold over night, any tips of making it lasting longer other than tons of hair spray?

Question For The Korean Ladies, Or Anybody Who Knows

So I am thinking about purchasing the Coanda 2x during the prime day sale, but I know they just released the upgraded version with the ceramic plate clamping straightener attachment as well as a few others in Korea. Have any of you ladies tried it? Do the attachments work on the original Coanda 2x airwrap? If so, have you been able to purchase the new attachments separately or are they making people buy a whole new machine. I am trying to figure out if I can just purchase the Coanda now and get the attachments on their own when released in the US, or if I should just wait and buy the upgraded set when released here. Also I saw this video that said the plates do not actually get hot, is that true? Help a girl out, please! Thank you!

Dyson Coanda 2x Sale

Right now the Coanda 2x is $599 on Amazon. There is a coupon that takes $150 off. Just thought I would share. There is a couple sales on the I.d, nural, and airstrait as well, actually several Prime Day deals on Dyson hair tools. I will share the screenshots in the comments it won’t let me add more photos to the post.

EDIT TO ADD: So Dyson did release a brand new version of the Co-anda 2x called the Airlab Co-anda 2x. It is already released in Korea, so it will be coming to other countries sometime. But the attachments will work with the regular Co-anda. So since these are pretty good deals, I thought I would still share in case anybody was interested.

EDIT TO ADD AGAIN: So I am not entirely sure the attachments will work. After googling a lot the last day or so, I don’t think the attachments will work, specifically the straightener one. But I am not sure. Supposedly the newer coanda is higher pascals. But I am not sure. I get different information from google. Screenshots in the comments

Question (co-anda 2x)

Hi everyone!
I’m thinking about buying the Co-anda 2x that’s currently available in the US, but I’m wondering if I should wait for the updated version with the new attachments!

If you were in my position, would you buy the current one now or wait? Also, does anyone have any idea when (or if) the updated version might be released in the US?

Thank youuu!

best purchase I’ve ever made

my curls stay pretty well when I use product (mousse, color wow dream coat, color wow style on steroids texture spray, and hair spray). skipped the mousse today and it was pretty humid, so the curls fell more than usual but I’m still obsessed!!! I also just love how the curls feel so much bouncier compared to using a regular curling iron, even with day 2 or 3 hair.

heat damage on coanda2x

hi everyone! I’m looking to make my first big hair tool purchase and get the Dyson Coanda 2x. as it's a pretty huge investment I’ve been reading countless posts and reviews, but I have a few concerns I was hoping I can get some insights on.

first, I have very thin, straight asian hair. I'd say my hair is on the healthier side, and I do hair masks/oil 2-3x a week. I rarely style my hair (1-2x a week), and never used heat protectant before (I didn't think it was necessary if I'm just blow drying my hair majority of the time).

with the Dyson, I plan to use the round brush on my bangs and straightener/curling barrel everyday.

I’ve seen reviews saying that people who aren't used to styling their hair actually experienced more damage with the Dyson. is this true or am I just overthinking that the Dyson will end up frying my hair? also, is it worth investing in a high quality heat protectant if I'm using the Dyson and do I need to use it everyday? lastly, whenever I’ve gotten perms in Korea, they never last and the stylists told me it's because my hair is so thin and straight that it just doesn't take perms well. because of this, I’m worried the Dyson curls will just fall out immediately. does anyone with a similar hair type have advice on how to make the curls last longer?

this is a lot but I really want to make sure it’s worth the money before taking the plunge. any tips or product recommendations would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

Dyson air wrap on extensions

Hi everyone, I’ve had the Dyson airwrap I.d for about a year and always worked so well with my hair. The curls would last until my next wash. I’ve recently had beauty works extensions put in and have since tried using the Dyson and cannot get the extensions to hold the curl. I’ve tried pinning them straight away, using a mouse, hairspray, getting it barely damp before using and nothing seems to work for them. I’m not sure if because the extensions will have been treated a lot before being put in my hair is the issue? It’s just so irritating as it worked so well for my natural hair. Even with the extensions slightly damp, no matter how small the section, it doesn’t want to grip around the Dyson and when I do manage it lasts about an hr then drops. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!

Dyson Airwrap or Co-Anda2x

Morning Folks.

Partner has the Original Dyson Airwrap with 7 attachments, and TBH there is nothing wrong with it. I just purchased the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Multi-styler and dryer for her as a present, and even I am wondering if I made the right choice.

Was she better off with the old one?
Is she only saving a few minutes dry time?
Would she have been better off with the I.D at £170 cheaper?

I am a guy so all this means nothign to me, she has thin to Medium Hair. Doesnt do her hair often, but she did train to be a hair dresser, and does enjoy doing it. Even her old Dyson is used about 4 times per month.
