Brand new dyson with scuff marks

I’ve now received two Dyson airwrap Id units with such cosmetic damage straight out if the box (I ordered it from their website)my first original unit arrived with noticeable scratches and marks so I went through with exchange process and waited for a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement I just received also has visible scuff marks on both the main unit and attachment despite being brand new. I’ve already spent time going through one exchange and waiting so im lowk super hesitant to repeat the exact same process without any assurance that another one will be in pristine condition.

What should I do?? For reference here is the second replacement I got and honestly its not that bad but why is there any marks at first place😭😭😭😭 this was my dream purchase

Does performance decrease with age?

I’ve had my machine for about 5-6 years. When I first got it, I was awed by the results. I got tight curls that lasted til my next washing 5-7 day later. Every time.

I do keep up with maintenance, and even took it in for a service this spring to have it cleaned out.

Recently though, it just doesn’t produce the same results. Curls fall out in a few hours and frizz comes back the next day.

Is it just getting old?? Or, maybe it’s my menopausal hair that won’t play anymore.

Anyway, any similar experiences out there? Any feedback appreciated.

How can I prevent frizzy flyaways? I still get quite a few even after using the Dyson Airwrap Coanda smoothing attachment

This is my hair post styling. How can I tame the flyaways?

Convince me that the Co-anda 2x round brush is better than the Airwrap i.d. round brush for my hair type

I don’t own a Dyson yet, budget isn’t an issue, so I’m just trying to pick the right one to buy. I got to test an i.d. (borrowed one) and the round brush worked really well on my hair — fine, low density, 2C-3A curls, just below shoulder length, gets fluffy/frizzy easily (Mediterranean type)

My hesitation: since I’m buying either way, why not just get the newer Co-anda 2x? But looking at the two round brushes side by side, the i.d.’s bristles are basically fine metal pins that really grip the hair, while the Co-anda 2x has tapered, ball-tipped bristles designed to glide with less snagging.

Isn’t that grip/tension literally what makes a round brush smooth the cuticle in the first place? If the new brush is designed to grip less, wouldn’t that mean less tension and a less smooth result — especially on fine hair that doesn’t have much resistance to begin with?

Has anyone with similar hair used both? Does the Co-anda 2x brush actually smooth as well as the i.d., or is there a real case where the “older” brush just works better for certain hair types?

Question

I ordered this and see the photo as it having the round brush but when I compare it says it’s not in the box? Can someone help me?

Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x owners - is it actually worth it for very fine hair?

I’m considering buying the new Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x but given the price I would really love to hear from people who have actually owned and used it for a while — especially anyone with very fine hair.

My hair is currently naturally quite straight, extremely fine, medium length and tends to sit very flat. My main reason for considering the Airwrap is actually to add volume and a bit more movement to my hair, particularly at the roots, and to be able to do a nice blowout.

I’ve been reading mixed reviews of the new Co-anda2x. Some people absolutely love the stronger airflow, faster styling and new round brush, while I’ve also seen reports that the new motor makes the tool/attachments get quite hot and, in some cases, people have had the machine overheat or shut off and need a break before continuing.

I’m a first-time Airwrap buyer, so I’m not deciding whether to upgrade from an older Dyson — I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth buying it at all.

Would really appreciate your experiences!

Dyson Customer Service

I’ve never posted before but I need advise and want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I have been wanting a Dyson for YEARS and after getting my masters degree and being at my job for a year I decided it was time to get one. After months of searching I decided to buy the Refurbished Dyson Airwrap I.D for $410.39. I bought it on April 28, 2026.

I had the machine for about a month when it broke. No big deal it came with a year long warranty, so I reached out to support and they had me send the machine to them. After a few weeks, I got an email (June 11, 2026) stating that the machine was fixed and is in the process of being shipped back to me. Then I heard nothing. I never received shipping information or a tracking number.

So on June 16, 2026 I reached out to support and they told me my dyson hasn’t ever reached the repair facility and once it did they would fix it and ship it back to me. I sent screenshots of the repair update to support and they told me they would submit a claim with the Concern Team because my product was lost. I was told I would hear from them in 3-5 business days.

After 5 business days with no update, I called support. I was told that the product was delivered to my address on June 17, 2026. A day after I was told by support it was lost and they had never received it. I live on a busy street and it was delivered at 7pm, after I would’ve been home for the night. UPS left it on the front porch of my apartment and not in the mailroom.

Now, after two more months of almost weekly phone calls and claims with UPS, Dyson is refusing to take accountability for not giving me any shipping information and refuses to give me a refund or new product. UPS won’t do anything either since they delivered the product to my apartment complex. I just don’t know what to do at this point and I am beyond frustrated and upset about this situation. If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Air wrap frizzy a half hour later no matter what.

I have used many a round hot air brushes. When I use the Dyson Airwrap no matter WHAT - even if it looks amazing after blowing it, my hair is frizzy a half hour later—in AIR CONDITIONING! This does not happen with any of the other hot air brushes. The Revlon works the best for me but I haven’t used it in years bc it’s so damaging for the hair. I’ve had my Dyson for 4 or 5 years now and it’s done this since the beginning.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue bc it drives me insane bc it was SO costly but just doesn’t work on my hair and I don’t know WHY.

*ETA: I use different hair products and it doesn’t seems to matter - bc I use them with all my tools.

Conflicted about keeping the dyson airwrap

I bought the usa costco version that comes with 3 attachments about 3 years ago.

I love it as it is gentle on the hair and even in extremely hot weather, blowdrying doesnt seem intense as it does with a regular blowbrush and i dont get a cramped arm.

I have long layered thick a1 hair takes me about an hr or 2 to finish this is across all styling tools ive used.

Every wash day,it makes my hair super soft and im very minimal with my hair care,i use a mix kendra products and cheap drugstore.

But i cant get over the fact that because the air is blowing is 360 all around,it just lifts my the small hairs so it just creates frizz,im also really lazy so i dont do a proper 1inch sectioning in all the parts of my hair.

I do find that the wand is better for a proper blowout so is the round brush just for bangs?

Also something that works for me too just hold the style in place and make it appear less frizzy is also holding the hair in the round brush or wand then pinning.

Im starting to think i would just be better off buying the dyson blow dryer to get a less frizzy look.

Do I need the air straight if I have the coanda 2x?

As the title says. I’m looking at the airstraight but I know my coanda 2x has the straight attachment. You can’t go from wet to dry with it tho, so I’d imagine it doesn’t work as well. Thoughts?

What products do you recommend for Salon style Blowout/Curls with Dyson airwrap?

I recently got the Dyson Airwrap and I’m trying to figure out the secret to getting that salon-style blowout that actually lasts!
I’m still very much a novice and know I need more practice, but I can get some really nice curls with it — the problem is they barely last an hour. I also think part of the issue is that I haven’t been using the right styling products, as I’ve just been using whatever I already had at home.
For reference, I have fine, silky, medium-length hair that is naturally very straight, so it really struggles to hold any shape. I’ve recently bought the K18 Heat Protectant Mist, which I’m planning to use, and I’m also considering the Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer. But I’d love to know what else people recommend for creating a blowout that actually lasts.
I’ve never really used styling products before, so I’m a bit clueless about what I actually need!
The other thing I’m struggling with is how to layer the products. Do I use the heat protectant first, followed by a mousse/volumiser? Should I be using something else before or after the Airwrap? And is hairspray essential for making the curls last?
I’m going to Prague for the first time in a few days and would really love to nail my hair by then 😂 So, if you have fine, straight hair and have mastered the Airwrap, please share your secrets

Thoughts on buying EU Dyson

Hi, I’m based in the US and absolutely love my Dyson. It’s been the only hair tool I’ve used since 2021. I travel to Europe and Asia pretty often, a few times a year, and am thinking of investing in a EU Dyson for my travels. I’m going to France and am thinking of picking it up there for 549€. Question: do you think it’s worth it to buy a second airwrap for travel OR should I buy a EU shark instead? (I haven’t used it before but I think it may be good enough for my purposes, esp for the price difference) Secondly, if anyone is in France, can you recommend me the cheapest place to get a airwrap?
