Why the Ending is better than most Romcom Mangas I've ever heard of.

Hey, spoilers ahead for those who are anime-only anyway. Let's start with why I believe in this so much that I would be able to say that the ending was actually better than most manga endings.

There's a clear contrast between the first and last chapters. Why is that? Visual appearances. We start with some slightly questionable.. ecchi/lewd stuff? You know, how do I defend the author for this? (Edit: I change my action, it ain't that bad. You just can't really say how it's defendable to a ton of keyboard warriors that barely watched/read it.)

However.. It went from "oh, a series with lewd fan service, how cliche" to basically something you are invested in. The overall development of characters and world-building within this manga was exhilarating, unlike other popular anime in its genre, where they can't take a break because the author is so obsessed with the female cast.

They also lengthened the ending for a few more chapters after the confession, giving us the feeling that it wasn/t rushed. But methodical, timely, and the author was patient with her work. She gave the ending that was expected, sure, but in exchange? We get something that actually sticks for a longer time. That's why the anime was so popular, it was controversial within the first few episodes, but the author basically strayed from the fanservice from the first season, and then switched it up for us to relate with the characters frequently. Speaking of which;

The manga supported the ending from the start. Every character, storyline, or point of view made by the author helped to make the ending something good. Seriously, it was made sure to be in the perfect amount for you to make it feel real. The art style of the mangaka was so skilled in her work, giving comforting scenes and ethereal ones.

Finally, the relief. The relief you get that they confessed and had a child together. There's no hidden reason, no 'it should've been this, not her', and yes, there will always be disputes on a manga ending, whether or not it was good. It's normal for a fandom to think of such. But for the first time, I feel satisfied with reading this manga. There isn't that much better than seeing the main cast have a wedding and kid.

It really wasn't about pacing (which was mediocre but still sold me). The characters, or the manga itself. It was just a symbol for you to see the world in a different perspective after reading it. It was continuously shown, and with that meaning? The ending sticks out better than anything else. FarONE OUT!!!

Reaction of Chap. 234!

So, I just saw the newest chapter of Dandadan, and I'm glad to say that Sensei didn't dissapoint me at all. Just a reminder that this is my personal opinion and spoilers ahead.

Okay, putting all that aside; The newest chapter of Dandadan really made me happy. They combined action and slight romance into the panels so it's really touching. We have new info about the Seal-Man, the Black Barber (which isn't the 'weird hairdo' barber) and the goons that are obviously inspired by Leatherface. It did have some humor, and sometimes lacked action for dialogues but overall it was a solid chapter. What I'm talking about is Okarun..

He basically turned it all back around for the Okarun X Aira shippers and showed his actual love of her even in near-death, there's basically no way people can deny that. Tatsu-Sensei legit made it clear; even when he's almost dead, he cares about Momo being captured before his own health. Aira did such a good job too, she also cares for the group overall (especially Okarun, obviously).

What I really loved the most is that we had a short cliffhanger that basically twisted my understanding. When he said he was the 'Barber' I was thinking, "Oh, he did a fade on Kinta, but the other way around". Turns out, two different people, also the barber really is a good guy unlike the theories. I wonder, are they brothers/twins? They seem to have the same style.

Anyways, that's just my opinion on the chapter and I hope you guys liked it! See you all next week!

Some Flaws?

Okay, so I did decide to repost this since I didn't realize that some parts of the thread were basically insensitive; and I understand. It's my first time using Reddit so I guess it's understandable for Mods to basically remove my posts, thanks btw!

Anyways, I do wanna say that if people wanna twist my words, it doesn't actually mean anything. Really I just did this because there's some minor flaws within a community which is normal. I just wanna say some things that aren't really needed. REMINDER: Opinion post!

1. Overexaggeration

- Look, the reasons why new fans can't enjoy the manga is because people exaggerate it to the point it seems like the main plot. Yes, it was unfortunate to see >!Momo have memory loss!<, but it's just a plot that seems sort of dragged out but isn't that bad. There are many more problems withim the manga and yet people still talk about it being so bad within other apps. And I'll just clear something; I'm not saying that having an opinion is bad. Just make sure that it doesn't affect others who are new so they can have their own decision.

2. Do You Read or Not?

- Let's have a fun game, what are the reasons for people in this subreddit getting negative votes? Being wrong. Now this time it's just pure misinformation, one common misconception are the ships within the manga or the major plot points with CSG. I just do hope that people get to help people like these get some corrections instead of acting confused in comments.

3. This is just my personal opinion so don't be mad, but the headcanon ships.

- Look, I am all for it with ships. Crackships, actual ships, canon ships, etc. But sometimes the ships themselves make barely any sense or no connection. One is probably Kinta X Vamola. This ship is fun but sometimes they ignore the Canon. I'm sorry but I just can't see how they would end up. But again, this is just my opinion.

Yeah, I would like to hear your guys' voices about the flaws that you normally see in the community. Whether it be yours, commenters, or even my flaws; I'll take as much criticism I can take since this is again an opinion.

I finally finished the Manga, here's my thoughts.

Yeah, I finished the manga after 5 hours, I'm a sweat and dedicated to finish things when I have time and boredom (which is basically the same thing). Anyhow, I just wanted to thank everyone for replying for my last post because now, I actually did it with passion and took it to heart! Let me stop rambling and tell what I loved and didn't as this being my first manga since ages. Oh right, spoilers ahead for those who didn't reach chap. 232!

— PROS

1. The Detail.

- It's worth to note that the detail within this manga is so mesmerizing. There are small things such as during the sharknado scene, you could still see wind particles at the closeup and the tiny blood vessels. That's true passion for entertainment, and everything lines up so amazingly that it deserves an award. This also leads to my next pro;

2. Character Build-Ups.

- The funny thing about most shonen mangas is that they mostly focus on fighting and dimwits. I mean, what more of a plot can you get from a high-schooler getting girls, aliens, yokais, and organizations because he lost his golden balls from a granny that wants it for herself? And that's development. The story itself isn't even lackluster, but you can actually feel the details of the world if the people in it are genuinely that good. Even antagonists don't feel like antagonists but broken to their very core to try and feel success. There are realistic, emotional fights fleshed out to show what the author feels. It's refreshing to see, but there are still flaws.

3. Representation

- This is out of the manga and rebuilding it to become a true genre that readers want to see. Despite the goofy, flirty, or fighting moments? It has genuine representation for people that are in need of help. I said this once and I'll say it again, an author that knows problems of the world and puts it in their own manga; is an imagination for people in need to bask within that world. The representation doesn't stop from cultural differences and globalization. It shows realistic proportions of >!suicide, blackmail, struggles of poverty, bombings in Japan, and the mentality of Japanese people!< It really opens an eye with the backstories giving some sort of realization that these situations have happened, and sometimes, without people to help.

I'm not here to bask in that world, because the manga still has a minor flaw that I hope can be tweaked.

1. Back to Zero

- Sometimes, back to zero is a good thing, like the current arc. Doesn't mean it's wasting time. I hope that Aira and Jiji snap out of their trances and actually help Momo Ayase in dire need. The author gives more romantical drama, but thankfully it's reaching the end.

How? There's a cliffhanger for a fight panel. Usually arcs such as the Alien Globalizers tend to end the arc after a major fight happens since the problem becomes neutralized. Yeah, I hope that Sensei does well with that, I'm patiently waiting.

2. ...Kinda weird?

- Some stuff is kinda weird in my opinion. For example, I'm not sure if the Class President genuinely NEEDS that outfit just because the yokai quote unquote 'says it's needed for an idol to shine' but that's just me, I like he still experiments with that stuff, really shows colors of true fans.

So yeah, it's one of the best newgen Mangas out there and I'm appalled to not going into it further. My sweet girl Bamora she's so cute even in Kaiju form!!

Yo! Need some help PLZ.

I just finished Dandadan Season 2 and it was so good. It was a good idea to go back from the anime a few years after, but now I need some help for the aftermath.

I don't know how to continue after that cliffhanger in Season 2 so I want to read the Manga. I just have some major questions because it seems kind of weary in this subreddit. Before you guys ask; yes, I am willing to read up to chapter 233, I don't give a shit, I just need some tips.

  1. Is it really that bad? I heard the current Amnesia arc (bruh) is crushing for most people.

  2. Any techniques to maximize the reading? I only read online so yeah. But one thing's for sure, I can do a marathon if it's free to waste my time.

  3. Is it better to read or wait? I'm leaning on read to waste my time so I don't need to wait for S3.. Or you know, when it reaches chapter 300 and then I don't know what's happening.

I appreciate all of your answers!

Update: I'm currently in Chapter 119, so basically I've been reading 30+ chapters and here's what I gotta say.

  1. HOLY DUDE THE ARTWORK IS AMAZING!!! THE BATTLE'S ARE AWESOME EVEN THE FOOD LOOKS DELISH. IM SO HAPPY I DIDNT WAIT

  2. THE ROMANCE STILL IS SUPERB, AND THE SLIT-FACED WOMAN GOT MORE DEPTH THAN MOST ANTAGONISTS, I love this manga

  3. I'm thinking about reading the whole thing now today. The funny thing is that this is my first ever manga to read, I usually read Manhwa's or watch anime instead of Manga, but this just changed my perspective! I really thank everyone for helping me.
