New promotional art. Season 3 of the anime will probably use Okarun's manga hairstyle. They kept his middlepart spiky cut a bit longer than the manga did but it looks like an angel lost its wings. It hurts a little every time i look at Okarun cause he rocked that shit. GET SOME MOUSSE BOY😭

This wave of hate against Dandadan is getting really exhausting.

Just a quick vent.

I knew this chapter would attract negative criticism, but damn, it’s worse than I imagined; lots of hate-filled posts are hitting 40k likes (some even more). Even when there is valid criticism, it attracts so much hate from people who haven't even read the manga... I don't know, it’s just tiring to see that outside of this subreddit, almost everything I see in discussions about the manga is hate and negativity, especially since this has been going on for months and just keeps getting worse.

Just to be clear: I’m not saying the story is perfect or that we have to defend it at all costs; valid criticism is always welcome, and I know Tatsu could have handled some aspects better (especially in this arc).

Anyway, i hope you guys are getting a better experience than me

A really bad DanDaDan drawns

I drew these little sketches while I was in class; I did most of them from memory and, above all, with as little detail as possible (although I did add a couple of extra details to some of them later).

I hope you like them and find them funny.

Discussion Post about Chapter 219's Mystery Shield

Honestly I've been meaning to make this post for a while, especially after chapter 226. Back in chapter 219 we see a mystery shield protect both Momo and Okarun here, but no one in the manga itself acknowledged it. Even back then I felt skeptical about whether this was Momo's doing considering she has to specifically concentrate to use her psychokinetic powers, and we later get confirmation that her powers were stolen by a Kozuka knife.

I want this post to hopefully act as a place for people to gather their thoughts on this incident and discuss the various theories.

Personally >!this seems like it's Momo accidently influencing the oni club's shape to become a protective shield since she was connected to it via Okarun. The only arguments I have for why it isn't any other possibilies are tenuous though: If it was Okarun, it would've made sense for him to use it again, and if it was purely Momo without the ogre club, then Tatsu would have to explain the complicated reasons why Momo could get her powers stolen and still possess them. !<

What do you think would happen if Ken had the power of turbo Granny the jumping crane and evil Eye

Bros legs would be crazy built with all the running jumping and kicking he would have to do

And one day Tatsu decided to turn Okarun into his best warrior

Because what better way to build character than by being a punching bag?

Okarun's father has it...

If the power attributed to okarun is the pinocchio, then the elements you can 100% expect to appear for sure are lies, but there is another omnipresent part of the pinocchio mythos, geppetto his father, the one who creates him from a "magical thing".

Now we have always wondered what is going on in okarun's family and house, that allows him to freely go wherever for however long, and as far as i remember never even mention needing permission, or getting into trouble or whatever you would expect from a teenager in his position, IIRC we did see his father, but only briefly and without much explanation of anything, we also only have seem his father.

So now i realize, maybe the reason they cannot extract a power from okarun, yet they refuse to believe that he truly has no power, is that the methods they use to determine where such powers are, actually points to okarun, but not because he holds the pinocchio power, but because he IS PINOCCHIO, and his father is the one who holds the power, the one who creates pinocchio, geppetto himself, thus okarun is basically a manifestation of the power, which his father controls, he is the pinocchio turned real boy, mayve okarun's father is well aware of everything going on and being either machiavelian or excentric, lets okarun deal with it on his own, so he can continue being a "real boy".

My thoughts on a few things in Dandadan

First, about Okarun: I’m still not convinced that he has retained some remnants of Turbo Granny’s powers. It seems like a lot of people are treating it as basically confirmed that he still has some of her powers, but at least for now, I’m still not completely convinced. I could obviously be wrong, but I think it’s important to separate what has actually been shown from what is just fan interpretation.

Another thing that really bothers me is the lack of communication between the characters. Sometimes it feels like they could figure out or understand certain situations much faster if they simply talked to each other. I know this can be part of the story’s dynamic, but at times it gets really frustrating.

And I have to talk about Count Saint-Germain. I think he has become my favorite character. He’s just way too mysterious, and I really want to know what his actual motivations are.

More specifically, I really want to know what his history with Turbo Granny is. Their relationship seems to be hiding a lot, and Saint-Germain definitely gives me the impression that he’s the kind of villain who is always following some plan that the other characters haven’t figured out yet.

Actually, the more I think about him, the more I feel like he must have a hidden agenda. It seems like almost everything he does has some ulterior motive behind it, and I’m really curious to find out what that motive is.

You know what? Hase is a well-written character! Read before you insult.

The fact that Hase disgusts you so much only demonstrates how incredibly well-written he is by Tatsu; if he were a flat cliché or a simple envious thug, he would be incredibly boring. Think about the Kurs; they killed many people. Does anyone feel hatred towards them? Think about Vlad. Does anyone care about his motivations and hate him? The answer is no. The greatest crime in writing isn't creating characters that are hated, but characters that leave the reader indifferent. Hase obviously doesn't deserve redemption, but he has the potential to be the best villain in Dandadan, and he will eventually get what's coming to him from Okarun/Momo and the others, and that will be the reward for the reader.

Do you genuinely think that Okarun has some hidden powers

We have been baited and been waiting for so long that i think that okarun just don't really have any powers or anything. The villains might just be after the wrong guy and being fed fake info from CSG.

I don't understand people's confusion

It's been confirmed already by Gilles that Pinnochio is Turbo Granny's power, i don't understand why people are still confused about this and making up theories about hidden powers.

The knights have no way to tell if Okarun is telling the truth or not about not having his powers anymore, they only just met him, they can't just take his word for it, specially when they know he has ID Cosmos which btw is NOT some sort of hidden power, it's simply the willpower to not give up when your own life is in danger, instead they have to target their loved ones, this is mentioned not once but TWICE but people forgot.

This entire arc/operation is happening because the dragon knights are operating under fake/false intel about Okarun still having TG's powers, likely part of CSG's overarching plan, because he realized Okarun did, in fact, not have powers anymore and just backed down.

If the actual Turbo Granny were to show up right now and showcase her powers, EVERYONE in the dragon knights would just gang up on her and start giving chase, completely ignoring Okarun and the others, the only power they are missing to complete Vlad's plan is Pinnochio, they don't even care about Acro Silky or Evil Eye, they were just gonna let him get digested inside a dinosaur.

¡Okarun se está Muriendo Desangrado!

Muy probablemente en los próximos capítulos Momo recupere la memoria después de que okarun le diga su Nombre y muera :'(
