It definitely isnt my first time watching hxh, far from that. I’ve been watching the show since I was a kid. It’s not my first time rewatching it, either. But something about Meruem and Komugi’s final scene just shatters my heart every time I see it or even think about it. The fact that a creature born solely for killing all of mankind finds his humanity in a blind frail girl, and that he chose his love for her over conquering the world, only for man-made poison to steal his life just as he understands what living means. How two utterly discarded souls found absolute salvation in eachother in their final moments. I find that absolutely beautiful yet so gut wrenching at the same time, I can’t really form a solid thought on this specific scene.

This might not be the best interaction between the two but its still rlly cute, just her standing up for him even so subtly is so sweet. And oh my goodness whenever i go back to the first chapters of the manga im reminded on why i adore this ship so much its actually baffling, i feel like none of the ships I’ve seen in fiction could hold a place in my heart just like Momokarun does. I was rewatching the anime last night out of pure boredom, and I got to this specific scene. This was initially the scene that made me fall in love with the anime in the first place, it was heartfelt and genuine and it holds a huge place in my heart to this day. Although it wasn’t a major love confession or something of that sort, it was definitely a huge step in Okarun and Momo’s relationship in my opinion. I’m aware there’s better media out there but this episode still remains heavily memorable, I love the duo so much I can’t even put it into words. Lmk what’s your guys favorite scene of the two.

Can we all mutually agree that Acro-silky had one of the most gut-wrenching stories in the entirety of the franchise? Like just remembering what happened to her makes me wanna cry my heart out.
