Hate this!

Car seat: Graco Gomax
My daughter will be 4 weeks tomorrow and ever since we left the hospital, her head has tilted like this. She was 8 lbs as of a week ago but she was tiny leaving the hospital, so we just thought it was her size. The nurse at the hospital didn’t have any concerns about this, she just had us remove the pads from the shoulder straps due to her size. Her pediatrician also had no issue with this, just said that we should only worry if she’s tilting forward as well.
I asked the pediatrician if there was anything we could purchase to provide her some support and she said the only thing that’s been tested is what you see in the photo (adding a blanket or something around it). That doesn’t feel right to me so we only do that if someone is sitting in the back with her.
I’ve looked on Gracos website to see if there was anything I could purchase and didn’t find anything.

It breaks my heart to see her like this! She never looks comfortable.
Any suggestions/advice?

My reactive dog bit a boy

This girl right here is my Ellie. She is a 6 year old rescue who my husband and I have had since she was a baby. Ellie’s always been reactive. I’ve done so much work with her, but we have moved so much and so there’s new triggers. She’s been so much work, but I can’t imagine a life where I give her up.
The other day, we were walking both dogs and approached a boy in the neighborhood that we know. She’s always been skiddish with kids, but like I said fairly familiar with him. I had one dog and my husband had her. The boy and my husband went to do a handshake/high five and our dog was just standing there but as soon as she heard that high five, she snapped and bit the boy. Just left a small mark, thank God. But this is the first time I’ve ever been in this situation and it just shook me to my core.

To add to this, we’re expecting our first child in September. I have always been a dog person. Can’t imagine a life without dogs and haven’t always wanted kids. I say that to say, dogs are a very important part of my life. As hard as it’s been with her, she is my main girl. So this whole situation has been hard. I failed her because I know she can be anxious and scared and I didn’t protect her.

Obviously, I’m more emotional than normal but I just don’t know what to do. I can’t envision a future where I give her away but I’m spiraling and I’m thinking worst case scenarios. This happened on Sunday and I have barely slept, barely ate, can’t focus on work and my stomachs been in a knot ever since.

We’ve reached out to a few trainers already.

Stress/Eating

Yesterday, something pretty traumatic happened. Something I don’t want to share. Nothing physical, so physically me and baby are fine. But it rattled me to my core. My stomach has been turned since. I barely dinner last night and got about 3 hours of sleep. This morning, it took me about 5 hours to get down a bagel and 3 boiled eggs and I’ve cried all day.
I started to feel a bit hungrier so I thought dinner would be a success, but it wasn’t.

I’m just wondering if this has happened to anyone during your pregnancy and what you did that may have helped. I know everyone’s situation is different and I probably just need a few days. I just wish I could shake this.
Edit: I’m in my third trimester

Cruising Celebrity with a baby

Please be nice.. we get that this isn’t ideal.

My husband and I tried Celebrity Cruises last year and obviously, we fell in love! We booked for the new Xcel as soon as we could. Our trip was for November of this year, however we are now due to have our first baby in September. So, we have until August to rebook our itinerary.
As most know, Celebrity is not geared towards kids (and we get that). We know that our choice in cruise lines will have to change for the new future, but we paid a deposit that we do not want to lose.

I’m looking for advice from parents that have maybe sailed with celebrity when they had a baby (or even another not so friendly kid cruise line). At what age did you cruise with your baby and how did it go?? I hear some say to go when they’re less mobile, and some say to go later when you have a better rhythm.

Some restrictions for us:
- We do want to see the new Xcel ship, which means we’ll be limited to the dates when they’re not in Europe. So for 2027, we have March (baby will be 6 months) and late 2027 (baby will be a year and change).
-We can only book as far out as they have available. So it’s not like we could wait until she’s a toddler. Currently, the furthest out is April 2028, which means baby would be 19 months.

Also, I already asked my travel agent if that deposit could be transferred to Royal Caribbean and was told it could not.
