Hey guys, my kitten is 4 months old and we've had her for 2 months. She is a ragdoll/british shorthair.
She has been sneezing randomly every day consistently for the past month and a half. She does not have any yellow/green discharge. She has eye gunk but they're dark brown and crusty which is normal. No squinting or excessive watery eyes. We have brought this up with the vet and he said there was nothing abnormal with her health and to keep an eye out for the abnormal discharge which has still not happened. So I'm wondering if there's something in the house that could be irritating her nose? She doesn't sneeze as much when she's outside, mainly indoors. Could it be the air is too dry? I am considering getting a humidifier as we live in Australia so it gets dry and dusty. We already have 2 air purifiers, one in her bathroom/litter area, and one in the living room. It's possible it could be the candles we use? But we only light them every so often, but she sneezes whether the candle is lit or not. I don't think it's her litter that causes her sneezing as she sneezes everywhere, no matter where she is in the house. The house is generally very clean, floors are vacuumed and mopped consistently, clothes and blankets are always being washed (my partner has dust allergies so we keep the house as dust free as possible). Her diet has not changed, and her diet is excellent (variety of wet and dry food, probiotics, food toppers, plenty of treats). Her poops and pees are consistent and healthy. She drinks lots of water as well, grooms normally, plays and is active. Has anyone experienced something similar and if you have, did you do anything to rectify the situation? I'm struggling to find the cause of her sneezing and would really appreciate any advice and help! Thank you so much :)
