OPM Retirement Timeline Keeps Extending

My retirement package was submitted to U.S. Office of Personnel Management under DRP 2.0 with a retirement date of 9/30/2025.

I have called almost every Friday this month and was repeatedly told “2–3 more weeks.” Today I was told my case was assigned to an adjudicator on May 15, but now the estimate is another 30–45 days.

That means final processing could take 8–9 months after retirement.

I understand there are backlogs, but the constantly changing timelines make financial planning extremely difficult. Curious how long others waited after adjudicator assignment.
