Overture DLC - what can you guys tell me about it, is it worth buying?

I've only done one run of this game thus far but I did very much enjoy it, I'm a seasoned souls player, particularly Sekiro, now finishing up a charmless run for that, thinking of purchasing Overture today, after which i intend to commit to Lies of P properly, and pursue it's platinum trophy. It's worth buying yes? Is it's difficulty higher than that of the base game (please note I don't mind if so, infact I rather welcome it!)

Appreciate anyone taking the time to throw a response my way. Any tips for going into it will always be appreciated, too. Thanks guys.

EDIT: Thanks so much for all the comments! i just purchased it! can't wait!

Time for another "Anyone use this?" post!

So this here is clearly intended to be this games version of Rainbow Stones from Elden Ring, or the shining coins from Bloodborne, Prism stones in DS. But honestly, even when I was new, and didn't know where I was, I never really thought anywhere in the game was enough like a maze (such as Subterranean Shunning grounds in ER/Chalice Dungeons or Forbidden Woods in BB, which absolutely are) and honestly, I've only ever used it to just throw on the ground and look at because to it's credit, it's rather pretty. Everywhere in Sekiro I feel has identifiable landmarks within the area, so you can always tell what way you came from or are going to. Or, do you disagree, or is it possible I've forgotten something? Curious to learn my fellow Shinobi's feelings on the 5 coloured rice item.

I did it! My first successful deathless run!

I'd posted about this a few times, so I just wanted to update any of my fellow Shinobi's who had given me encouragement etc when i was feeling nervous i might die, or commented on previous posts of mine, I did it! Finished the game on the same life I started with. My previous best was 1 death, so happy to finally be able to say I beat the challenge I set for myself, and beat Sekiro deathless 😊

Isn't it just beautiful here

Posted yesterday (not that I expect people to remember or care lol) about my deathless run, and I was nervous about Owl. Well, I've gotten past both Owls & True Monk on the same life i started the run with. Best I've ever done on a deathless attempt! I'm proud of it 😊 Just taking a minute to look down this path before I face the Dragon. This area, although I know it isn't every players favourite, really is beautiful, and this spot right here is among my favourites to turn the camera around at Fountainhead. The music here, both the regular and the combat tracks, are also really nice.

It feels "Proper Zen" if you will 😂 as one might refer to it here in England.

Still on my deathless run, Hirata v.2 & my Wolf has grown a handsome respectable beard?

Just in time to show my dad I can grow a cool beard like he can! Look father!!

(We know wolf gets bs on his face all the time and it's LowK shitpost material ik, but the way it's sat here, I couldn't not share with the sub 😂)

Deathless run and it's time for Owl!

I don't really need help, so to speak, but felt like the most appropriate flair cos I think I need spiritual help, this is the furthest I've ever gotten on a deathless run, and I am proud of this progress, but I am SOOOOO NERVOUS Owl is about to fuck it up for me. There's legitimate anxiety!

I know I know, I'm hesitating. This is not the Shinobi way 😅 but I feel like my fellow Shinobi's on here gonna understand feeling apprehensive about this poison spamming, smoke bomb chucking, shady ass trick pulling camera lock merchant of a dad of ours. So it getting posted on the sub rn. If he does get me I'm abusing bite downs for the rest of the run to compensate.

UPDATE: WOOOOOOOOO HE DIDN'T KILL ME! am a very happy lady rn although I low-key have a headache from the stress lmao

Further further edit: I still be alive! At Fountainhead now 🙌 let's hope the dragon doesn't do me of all the damn things.

So, purple ninjas look like shit apparently. Is there a reason?

Was playing on the rooftops and it caught my attention that these look like literal corpses. I never noticed before but he looks like he's been dead a while! I noticed FromSoft do this often with soldier type enemies, but it usually has a reason (Dark Souls is they're hollow & Elden Ring afaik is due to the removal of the Rune of Death/Destined Death. And of course Bloodborne has the beast thing)

Are the ministry on the rejuvenating waters too, and that's why they look like crap, like the monks? It would make sense, but I don't recall any explicit mentions of it (i have been known to be forgetful though, or to miss a detail here and there)

Only time I've ever used it in 20 runs was to leave a remnant of wolf pretending to sleep on Isshin's bed.

Does it have a good use though? Any good moments for it? I wouldn't wanna think I'm potentially missing out on something useful (like I was sleeping on how fun Sen Throw is haha)

Cheers

EDIT: Thanks for all the input guys I've definitely been sleeping on that one a little too!
