I bought a 2003 ford ranger from my buddy due to him needing a new truck for his job, it does have some issues that I knew about already which I plan on fixing, those issues being a new coolant reservoir, radiator and a head gasket that has just started to leak but the main issue that me and him had found was some rust flakes in the engine, there hasn’t been any issues with the ranger starting or any rough idle but would a engine flush be in my best interest to clean out the flakes or am I looking at a rebuild or new engine being needed?
