6 months post - Surgery didn’t take out breast tissue and now facing another procedure

Hi all, need some help and advice to make sure I’m not being unreasonable here.

I’m a 30 yo male. I had a gyno lipo procedure done back in November for 8K, not a small amount for me. apparently I had mild gyno or pseudo gyno and the surgeon recommended only taking out the fat and not breast tissue because he said the nipple would collapse if he took out the breast tissue, and it would leave big scars and I wouldn’t be able to take off my shirt at the pool. And he used some entry points below the chest, not cutting into the nipple directly.

After 6 months, everything is healed and the man boobs are still visible. It just looks the same as before, just smaller. I did everything right - wore the compression vests 4 weeks post op.

Just went for a follow up appt earlier this week and now the doctor says yes there is still some breast tissue left, so I can go in through the nipple and the scar won’t be that visible (??), and then I get a quote from them for the SAME amount for the full procedure.

Isn’t this the surgeons fault?? Why should I pay the same amount again just for him to fix his mistake? Is this common or am I getting fleeced?
