Shocking nipples / zaps

I’m about 3 months post op now. Nothing lately some little shocks, zaps, short little sensations around my nipples where I had the surgery.

Anyone else experience this? I heard that its nerves regenerating/ things are still healing.

Want to hear your experience. Thank you

2 weeks until this shit is removed!!

I’ve had gyno since I can remember and i cannot wait. I am scheduled with Dr. Khalifeh, and it seems he does good work. Anybody have any hindsight they’d like to share, or tips for before/after the procedure? Thanks!

2 weeks post-op, not happy

Had surgery last Wednesday for stage two gyno. I thought I would need lipo, surgeon said it was unlikely, but he would decide in the operating room. He ended up not doing liposuction, but looking at the results 14 days later, it doesn’t seem as flat as I expected. It's even more upsetting because when I went in a couple of days ago for the post opp, they didn't even let me see the surgeon; they just put me with a PA, and didn't even take post-op photos. It just seems like the surgeon doesn't really care about the results

know swelling is a factor, and when I went in, the PA said I was really swollen, so what I was seeing wasn't the final result, but even if it decreases by 20% i would still have side boob and a weird chest. I'm just really anxious, and I hope I didn't go through all of this for nothing. Am I tweaking?

Is $3,800 for laser skin tightening a total rip-off for mild gynecomastia?

Hey everyone,
I’m 34 and my ultrasound confirmed a very localized gland right behind the nipples, measuring just 3 x 0.8 cm. No major fatty tissue, just classic puffy nipples.
My goal is minimal intervention. I plan to lose weight, and I feel my current chest fat fits my frame. I want to avoid lipo to keep a natural contour and just flatten the puffiness.
My 2nd opinion consultation just quoted me for a full package: Gland Excision + Lipo + Laser. When questioned, she said we could drop the laser, but insisted lipo is mandatory to prevent cratering.
The laser alone adds an extra $3,800 USD to the price. Do you guys know/think it is worth it?
I really wanna find the surgeon who will agree to preform gland excision only, but maybe I’m aboslutely wrong with how I assess this.

Gyno surgery

Just got my surgery done today and was wondering what was the pain tolerance scale for people who have also got the surgery done. And also how long did the pain last as well?

Is this gyno?

I’ve been working out but also on test/deca and can’t tell if this is just muscle development or early gyno. I have been taking AIs

Raloxifene V.S Gyno

I’m 22 now, ran a dumb cycle of rad140 at age 18-19, got mild gyno from it, immediately stopped and took nolvadex as pct. Gyno stayed, nothing crazy, just puffy nipples with a little tissue under nipple. I’m 22 now, got bloodwork done for the first time a few weeks ago just to make sure everything’s good, estradiol is in range (21pg/ml), so is prolactin (9.7). I just ordered raloxifene to try and reverse some of it. I know most likely nothing will be permanently fixed, but as long as some puffiness is gone I’d be happy. Just looking to get some thoughts and if anyone experienced the same thing. Thanks

Gynecomastia PreOp

Some pre op photos to document my journey. Surgery is in 3 days with Dr Sherif at Signature UK, for gland removal + lipo.

Had multiple consults but found Signature to be the best fit for me. One consult told me I am a grade 2b, though I don’t think there’s a unified grading system.

My gynecomastia is bilateral, but when erect they look very different which is clearly visible in the first pic.

From the side profile you can clearly see the mound like structure too. I hope this helps those who are trying to self diagnose, will do an update after my surgery. I’ll do my best to reply to any comments.

Gyno Surgery At Last

Hi Guys,

After lurking in this sub for a couple of years now, I’ve finally taken the leap and booked in for surgery in a few days time. A bit of backstory, which will hopefully help people understand my situation and relate back to themselves.

I developed gyno during puberty. I was a sporty kid, but definitely didn’t take care of my health, and gradually gained weight up until the age of 22. At my peak I was about 88kg (193Ibs for the Americans) while being 5”9 - roughly 30% body fat.

I was always aware of my gyno when I was overweight, but it never bothered me too much because I was fat so it kind of blended in with the physique, and in my opinion being 15kg overweight is far more embarrassing than having a bit of gyno.

Anyway, I went through a weight loss transformation and lost about 18kg (40Ibs), which was when my gyno started to bother me. I’d put on a solid amount of muscle, and had a good set of abs and that made it incredibly frustrating because no matter how hard I worked in the gym, the gyno wouldn’t go away.

I will add that I see people talking about not wanting to get lean because gyno will be more visible. I think you’re looking at it from the wrong perspective. I’m FAR happier now with a set of visible abs, and a bit of gyno than I was when I was fat with gyno. It’s just now that I’m more aware of it. People used to mention my tits when I was fat, but tbh I’ve never had a single person mention the gyno since I had abs. Hopefully that makes sense. My advice is to get lean, and then decide afterwards whether surgery is something you want to go ahead with.

I found this sub and have gone back and forth constantly about whether to get the procedure done because whilst mine does bother me, it’s not as severe as many I see on here. Mine is mainly just puffy nipples, but also bothers me when I run (it’s like I can feel it bouncing up and down).

Had a few consultations in London, and settled with UKSkin for a gland removal only. Surgeon suggested mine is a grade 1 and due to being lower levels of body fat, lipo wouldn’t be necessary. I’ve always been apprehensive about getting the surgery done, but since booking, it’s switched to excitement. Every time I look in the mirror, I get excited about the prospect of life without gyno. It’s a funny feeling.

I will do a full write-up of the experience probably 6-8 weeks post op and include some pre and post op pics. I have never posted anything on Reddit before, but since this sub has played a fairly big part in my decision to finally decide to get the op, I figured I’d contribute in case it helps other people reach a decision.

For now, if anyone has any tips/advice to give me that would hugely appreciated. Particularly with grade 1 gland only. I believe the recovery for this is generally a bit easier, but we shall see.

Surgery is Saturday and I will be returning to a desk based job on Tuesday. I’ll be taking vitamins, collagen supplements, and sticking to anti-inflammatory diet to help promote recovery, but other than that I have nothing else planned in terms of helping with that initial recovery window, so as mentioned above I’d appreciate the advice!

Let me know if anyone has any questions, and I’ll try to answer them.

2 weeks post-op gyno surgery — left side hardness, skin laxity & no clear post-op instructions given. Anyone else?

Hey everyone, just hit the 2-week mark after my gynecomastia surgery and wanted to reach out to this community because I feel a bit in the dark.

My surgery: Had a significant gland removal plus around 500ml of fat liposuction from my chest. The left side had considerably more glandular tissue than the right, so by nature it was always going to be the more complex side.

What I’m experiencing on the left side:

-Noticeably more loose skin compared to the right
-A hard, firm area under/around the incision site — I’m guessing this is fibrosis/collagen buildup from healing
-Some bruising still present
-Mild pain/tenderness around that hardened area

My surgeon has said it’s all completely normal and isn’t concerned, which I do believe — but the issue is I’ve been given zero post-op instructions. No guidance on massage, activity levels, compression use, anything. He’s been pretty hands-off about the whole aftercare side of things.

So I wanted to ask:

  1. Did anyone else experience significant hardness and firmness on one side more than the other, especially with a larger gland removal?

  2. Were you given instructions on scar massage or lymphatic massage, and when did you start?

3.How long did the fibrosis/hardness take to soften up for you?

  1. Any tips for the loose skin on the more heavily operated side?

Not looking for direct medical advice, just hoping to hear from people who’ve been through something similar. Feeling a bit unsupported post-op and just want to know what’s normal to expect over the coming weeks. Cheers 🙏

Upcoming Surgery

Hi guys, I’ve got my surgery this Saturday. Needless to say I’m very nervous. Keep second guessing myself on whether this was the right move, but I know if I hadn’t done it I’d feel the same this time next year. Any motivation would be appreciated.

Also if anyone has any tips for the surgery, things to take etc. please let me know! I’m under local anaesthetic.

Surgery is with Dr Sherif Elamari, Signature Clinic UK

Sheesh, fellas need some opinions here after a bit of shell shock.

A few weeks ago here I asked if I had gyno (was pretty sure I have had it since puberty, 37 now) but am the most fit I've ever been in my life and feel like because of that it became more noticeable. I think 10 people answered and 8 said just fat.

Today, I went to see a very reputable plastic surgeon in Nashville and he confirmed I have it. I honestly wasn't surprised at all and was prepared for that. I've never really felt a gland or had discomfort but I knew something was off. What I wasn't prepared for was his recommendation of using the long scar technique to remove it. Basically, he says with my frame and skin elasticity as we get older, that the short scar method under the aereola is going to prevent me from getting the contouring results I'd like to see and there will be more excess skin than I'm imagining. I'm attaching three photos, where I tried to be pretty unflattering and honest that also show his outline of how long each scar will be. He says after about six months the scars will heal well, not be discolored and get better over time. The thing that REALLY freaks me out about this method is that your aereolas are completely removed, so they can remove the full gland and contour with lipo, and are THEN skin grafted back on. He said I would lose most sensation permanently there from this.

His all in cost is 13,500 which seems pretty in line, albeit a bit on the high end, but it also covers revisions.

I'm going to get a second opinion next week. Again, I'm not shocked to have it. This is just way more intense than I envisioned. Would love feedback if anyone who has had the surgery with similar appearance to me and if this is the method you chose. TIA!

Anyone with preexisting gyno on fin?

Hey so I just started taking fin 2 days ago and I have preexisting gyno that never went away after puberty. I am not particularly heavyset or anything so its not psuedogyno it is just the real deal.

25M btw

Anyways, I was deeply concerned w starting .25mg of fin for hair loss (i know its a low dose to begin with) because i didn't want to make my existing gyno worse. I started noticing some discomfort around my nipples after like day one so i may stop because i am extremely paranoid. I have done some research and there has been a study on whether gyno can return if you have had it surgically removed. It typically (like almost always) does not return.

I was just curious about other guy's experience w gyno on finasteride (particularly those that had it already before starting the medication). Let me know if you have questions and I will be happy to answer.

3 months post op

Allegedly I am at the peak of scar tissue formation. Some minor amount of raised tissue below the nipple but I think gyno bro’s are kind of sensitive to this.

As you can see, one side is still worse than the other. I think this is fat which I’m trying to keep losing. When I flex my chest it “goes away”. This side was quite a bit worse pre-op.

Overall results are 100x better than before and looks totally normal in a shirt. I think expecting perfection is unrealistic although it’s so expensive, it would be nice to achieve perfection.

Surgeon was Dr. Law

How bad is the gyno? Any hope in building muscle to hide it? Help please. 5’10 155lbs M23

If I were to get surgery would just gland excision suffice or would I need lipo too?
