This isn’t asking for value/appraisal, but for advice in how to determine that for myself. Is that ok here? This is my mom’s ring. It’s from the 80s. Gold is 14K. There are 33 diamonds on it, I have no idea of their quality or size/weight. I assume they are all genuine diamonds as it was purchased at a time when my family was doing very well financially. I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth selling to help my mom with her finances. From what I can gather the gold may be worth a few hundred dollars (maybe low as $250ish?), and I’m not sure anyone actually buys diamonds for a reasonable price? I’ve done some internet poking around, but am just wondering if anyone has better insight. Thank you!
