me and this girl 22m and 23F had been together a couple of months was going well until all of a sudden she wanted to break up. she kinda gave me a couple of reasons all at different times but very vague and seemed like she tried to avoid it. one was a joke i made a week or so ago, we both knew i was joking both had made that joke to eachother before and never been a problem she literally said she knew i was joking so that confused me. she told me she was struggling at work she had cried in work about work a couple of times which she hadn’t done before and was worried she was losing herself and also said prior to break up but not as a reason she was worried we moved to fast but then followed it up with no she loves me she’s worrying for nothing and glad with the way it went but did mention just before the break up about slowing it down. i have just been to drop some stuff off for her she left at mine and was hoping to ask her why then but she was with a friend. so should i text her and ask why should i give her some space for a few days and then ask coz also part of me is hoping she comes back this is her first proper serious relationship and everything was going really well so maybe she just got overwhelmed idk. any advice would be appreciated.
