Did anyone else find it ironic that Lorelai left Max right before the wedding without really giving him closure, and the show never truly explored the emotional damage she caused him?

Then later Rory goes through almost the exact same thing when Jess disappears without explanation.

Gilmore Girls hides a lot of emotional damage under fast dialogue and cozy vibes.
