I mailed my tax return for 2024 out in February this year.
The reason I didn't file them on time is because I was signed up through for a scam health insurance that I did not know I had til I went to file.
After not being able to get through to a human at irs all last year (or being on hold for 2.5 hours just to get hung up on) I was able to figure out how to get my voided health insurance form and mail it out. Ive been trying to navigate this for over a year now, they have been processing my return(which would be life changing money for me right now) since early March. I have tried calling every day for the past month. I am on the brink of homelessness and am extremely desperate for the money I worked for at this point. I messaged my congresswoman multiple times but she is a republican woman in florida so im not surprised I have received no response or help on this matter. The incompetence is mind boggling to me. What is the point of allowing them to take money off my checks if they sit on it for months and months while I suffer financially??? Seriously considering filing exempt so the irs can't with hold my money that I worked for from me any longer. (And so my taxes aren't funding genocide just so I can struggle financially)
