Am I overreacting? I came home after grocery shopping and was unloading the car while my husband laid on couch looking at his phone the door to the deck was wide open and I go outside and see my three year old leaning over the hot tub unsupervised! I lose it which probably wasn’t best reaction but told I was overreacting and that I lack common sense because if he were to fall in he could just stand up. I told him leaving the hot tub open and the door wide open to outside was very unsafe and I was upset first off he did it and second off he didn’t see anything wrong with it or apologize. Makes me hesitant to leave my kids around him alone. Am I overreacting or this is a serious safety concern?
edit: I wanted to add that the hot tub does have a cover and it does lock, and always stays locked, but my husband was working on it while I was away and thats the only reason it was open. The reason why I was so upset because he didn’t close it or secure it, and left door wide open. I was just so sick over this I forgot to mention that detail. This issue has been discussed extensively today and he has admitted to wrong doing and understanding the problem!
