>!Please, do not reveal anything beyond the Kingmaker plot points discussed here. Background, we are mostly ignoring the camping and kingdom systems in the AP. So, my party (lvl 6) just completed the quest where they go on a competitive hunt in an area that has been overlapped or influenced by the feywild. We fought a wyvern. a hydra, a giant flytap and handwaved a fight with a unique basilisk. The wyvern almost killed a party member, the hydra was a piece of cake. However the giant flytrap was weakened and still would have killed a player (almost 2) if the GM wasn't sympathetic and the basilisk fight was handwaved because the GM realized it too was way too difficult and would have taken all session and still likely ended up with a PC or 2 taken out. The entire time from getting lvl 6 to leading up to this quest the GM held off on giving us XP because the quest suggested we would be overleveled (lvl 7 vs lvl 6)...but the entire experience made us feel like being "overleveled" would be perfectly balanced if not still a bit tough. Kinda looking for input for our GM on whether he should ignore some adventure guidelines because we feel completely misled and we know he's not being adversarial as he's being very forgiving with character deaths and overly dangerous fights. !<
