Someone having absolutely no programming experience, how does this class feel for freshman year with the desire to receive A grade in this. What are the contents in it and how are the coding assignment like?

Can someone shed light on percentage of students taking geometry VS algebra ll or higher in freshman year? Overall what repercussion a student may have in starting with geometry in 8 the grade? Would this cause any problems with any science courses that may use math as it's basis?
