Incoming freshman and already took Spanish 1 in MS. Do you recommend switching now and taking a different WL?

Im hikey just heated there´s so much class elitism and racism at this school it´s insane. The faculty and teachers are nothing sort of amazing but if you aren´t indian or east asian or ¨best of all¨ white you get completely othered you don´t have to be black or hispanic either lol. The pure level of backhandedness and insecurity from the people at this school in absurd... please heed my warning. I guess what I say sounds like sour grapes because of my gpa but I thought the same even when my GPA was high...

Mukai is deadass ruining TJ, there are rumors of getting rid of JLC and IBET, he is denying mental health programs, and don’t forget the msa suspension. Save us Dr. B 🥲🥲🥲

Initial round of offers went out on April 24 at around 6 pm. Deadline to accept was May 8.

Round 2 of offers went out on May 15 at around 7:30 pm. Deadline to accept is May 29.

2. What is my position in the waitpool?
   No way to know. TJ doesn’t release this info.

3. If I am on the waitpool how do I know when to check?

No official answer, but the waitpool moves approximately every 3 weeks. Both the student and their adult will get an email. You can also check the portal.

I'm on the waitlist right now, what are the chances I get in? Around 10 people got in from my school and at least one (most likely 2-3) people are rejecting their offers.

Background:

- some kid from my school made a list of everyone who applied to TJ and their chances of getting in. I was around Rank 17 and the top 12 on his list would get in. His list was pretty accurate so I trust the list.

- For the SPSs I wrote ~1480 characters for 2 of them and ~1300 for the other 2. My SPS activities were Scioly, FTC, AMC8 (where i got 2nd place in my school and top 5% in all test takers or smth idk) and an Algebra test (don't judge, some kid from my school wrote about his 2 tech ed projects for 2 sps's and still got in!!)

- I have a 3.88 gpa and I'm in geometry + all honors right now.

- I prob won't go to TJ even if I get in because I'm planning to go to the Academies of Loudoun (ACL) but I might go depending on which one is better (Which one is better tho AOS or TJ) and even if i decline my offer my friend said colleges can still see that you were worthy enough to go to TJ, but just declined it (is that true tho??)
