My 2014 Elantra turned off 3 times within 8 minutes while in traffic
i noticed that my car turns off when i keep stopping in traffic. it happens gradually. It slows down, and hesitates when I accelerate.
I took it to the mechanic and the only problem they could find was a poorly installed brake pad which was fixed just recently. I bought the car privately, and it was inspected by a mechanic before I bought it last week.
But now I’ve noticed that when I stop very frequently like in traffic for instance, it starts hesitating more and more, until it dies and have to turn it off. It is in permanently in eco mode because it stutters even more without. it is a 2014 Hyundai elantra limited. 1.8L in line 4 (110CI) vIn (e). Immediately this happens and I turn the car back on, the engine light comes on immediately.
When I park my car and go to drive the next day, the engine light is off until this entire cycle happens again. I already spent $300 fixing the break lights and the mechanic could not find any issue with the car :(
