My amma wrote this letter 17 days before she died. I was 44 days old. I need help reading it.
My Amma passed away on May 5th, 1996 in Delhi. I was 44 days old. I never got to meet her properly.
Last year in Kerala, my family gave me the last letter she ever wrote dictated from her hospital bed to a nurse, dated April 18th, 1996. Written in Malayalam. I don’t read Malayalam.
A kind stranger from this subreddit helped me once before through a voice note and it changed my life. But I need a full written translation line by line.. because this letter is going into a book I am writing about her.
The letter is damaged, 30 years old, written on whatever paper was available. Some parts are unclear. I know it won’t be easy.
But if anyone has the time and heart to help me read my mother’s last words properly.I would be grateful for the rest of my life.
This is the only thing I have from her.
